Re: Mark Beck
Inevitable unfortunately. Players, managers and directors come and go, it is only fans who who are for life. We have to put this behind us and focus on Spennymoor on Saturday. We can still put out a strong starting X1 even if the bench is a bit weak. It might mean a reprieve for Mondal and he might...

Re: Mark Beck
He’s gone. Still nothing official from either club. Are you sure?. If he does go, good luck has had a cracking start to the season and scored some lovely goals and well done putting himself and the club in the shop window. Squad size were similar to other clubs (blyth 20, Scarboro 23) on paper we ha...

Re: Lambert attracting attention
A move to Cambridge Utd would be a good level and certainly more stable (financially) club then Hpool or colchester who have huge debts. I think a few other clubs will take a look but dont believe our promotion chase is over as AA mentioned if/ when he goes as it would free up funds for a few loan s...

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0dc5k9j Listened to Glen hendersons radio interview and sounds just like Uncle raj, George Houghton etc took club on, never realised the full extent of debts and expenses, add that with him believing how the club should play and his son should be on the bench. Fans...

Re: JOE LEESLEY
Disappointing but certainly not DJ or boards fault the choice or decision is with AA and how he spends the budget, because Leesley played so many games and had an immediate impact it feels a bigger loss; unfortunately most of those on the bench on Saturday cannot come close to such an impact and tha...

FA Trophy Alfreton
Note big man Rhead suspended for Saturdays game, will the other big man replace him. Note Jordan Thewlis signed from Evenwood Utd and likely to face us. 1-0 win with no injuries will do nicely

We do not have a reserve team and recent months have been fairly congested. Maybe one for the U19's in the future if allowed.

six games in 17 days, four of which were long away days, hats of to the lads fitting in work and families get through this one and hopefully a few can rest and recover after next week. Not sure Lawlor will be recovered in time and possibly kept for Saturday if big Wheats not around.

Re: Buxton v Darlo
Haha no I'm not who you might think I am. For all his faults he was much more eloquent. PorterDFC, if Hazel was played instead of Beck it would mean Beck had been dropped. That's clearly obvious whether you agree with Hazel having a chance or not. For the record I'm not advocating Beck can never be...

Re: Darlington V Brackley
Like most happy with a point before the game and disappointed at the end but more for the few hundred fans that turned up maybe for a while and may float away again and with it extra gate receipts. Probably the best first half the team played for a while and if as AA says there is a little more to c...

Seems fully recovered from his injury and with Hatfield earlier they have the money to pick our best players, wonder if we get a small percentage of his fee?AndyPark wrote: ↑Fri Oct 14, 2022 11:36 amhttps://www.afcfylde.co.uk/luke-charman ... ecord-fee/

I admire his honesty, because it takes courage to admit you have made a mistake. There is no substitute for being happy in life, and if his heart is telling him this is not the right thing for him, he is correct to come clean and move on. Of course he risks looking foolish, but no point in ploughin...

Hopefully keep our run going- Guess the game?
Guess the game as Ray puts wrong interview instead of Ben Hedley. mentions Reece Styche and Stephen thomson.

Re: Early Season Assessment
Have to agree 8/10 so far, especially as we have not played well the last three games but managed to win two of them albeit early cup exit a disappointment as attending Walsall is/was a while ago.Without Beck we would have lost a few more and hopefully that endless supply of flickons or passes from ...

Re: Early kick offs in general…
Not sure it would cost us anything extra putting on floodlights surely its included in our fixed charges with rugby club ?any extra fees for services (water/sewage /elec) the rugby club would have to pay, unless we got screwed on that fee along with food, drink and parking?

I would hang fire on signing him yet. Possibly Marcus injury more serious? Mondal although an attacking midfielder maybe moved on if someone could afford him, Rivers better out on loan to try and find the goal with call backnorwich darlo wrote: ↑Tue Sep 13, 2022 10:36 amhas he only signed on non-contract terms?...if so sign him up sharpish!

Re: FA Cup draw
Not a great draw, having home advantage is the only potential positive. Pretty much what Southport think , expect AA to give this a big push to reach 1st round proper, yes always need a bit of luck but would love another televised game to increase our profile yet again and get some investment into ...

Re: Darlington v Banbury Aug 20th
We could really do with finding a Jake Cooper type on loan so we don't have to rush either of the casualties back before their time resulting in a potential breakdown and an even longer time out. I assume Emery is not ready even though he's not a kid. Never played at this level and would be a tough...

Re: Southport v Darlo
In the last few minutes it summed it up for me , ball thru from Maddison to Mondal 50/50 and he jumps out way of keeper instead of coming across and forcing the penalty , then Sukar has a 50/50 ball and shys out the tackle on a smaller player, makes my blood boil and Sukar was bullied; they wanted i...

Re: Darlington V Gloucester
Thought our half time lead pretty much against the run of play and Gloucester often played one or two passes and were attacking with most focus against Hedley who I think is still off the pace from last season (maybe carrying a knock) Taylor was okay but his distribution from kicking(throws fine) is...

Think they abandoned full-time model at start of 2022, but on their website there are only pics of half the squad so presumably not had a lot of time together. Re: Darlington V Gloucester
I went to the open training session yesterday and they had the team photo before getting into training. They had two lads in the photo that didn’t have a name on the back of their shirts. One of them was Alfie Hughes and the other I am unsure, either Emery or Winstanley. So that pushes up our squad...

Re: Guiseley V Darlo
Yes was a friendly but if fans spend a couple of hours driving each way to the game atleast show a bit of battle and bite. Again showed we need someone who is decent crossing the ball in and beating the first man, Mondal and Rivers(know he was ill) are not that type of player. Perhaps last season we...
