Re: George Reynolds

What an absolute throbber Amos is. This was already abundantly clear from how he dealt with various issues during our one-year stint in his 'home-for-tea, win-the-vase' memorial pisspot trophy. I did not know he and GR were chums too. But fair play, through this he has further cemented his place in...

Re: Curtis Main

To be honest I’ve not followed his career since he left the Boro, how’s he been getting on? Anyone. Wish him well at his new club. Curtis did ok-ish up here in Scotland when at Aberdeen. Was viewed as a physical player but I think because he adapted his game to suit up here. Had to compete with Sam...

Re: Merry Christmas Quakers

Is that Hartlepool that you talk of, what has actually gone on there, isn't their chairman the ex Darlo chairman? You would not believe the attitude of some of our supporters towards dodgey looking 'white knights.' its like they seem to think some out of town bloke is going to come riding into town...

Re: Merry Christmas Quakers

I got to my first game on Boxing day where we came back from 2-0 down to win 3-2. I loved it and found the ground at Raccy Boro more than adequate. It felt like a Bury game and my passion for the team was just the same as it always was. The recent developments because of Covid make it look like the...

Honestly feel we are a far more compelling tie than Tranmere - Brackley as well, so a little bit aggrieved we aren’t on BBC Two. Tranmere rovers are owned by former FA chief executive officer mark palios speaks volumes really doesn't it. Tranmere (big club well known recently relegated and focussed...

ahhhh great memories.

it does show the desperation in general of your average football fan. the slightest glimmer of hope and potential millions to elevate your team to higher echelons.

Pools currently going through this with RS. Mind, at least he did show up and buy a club.

What impressed me was that we rarely looked threatened after going 2-1 up. It wasn't as if we were hanging on late in the game. It was a really disciplined and professional performance. Charman was absolutely immense - he'll get picked up by a league club for sure. His hold-up play and powerful run...

Saturdays defeat should be the reality check Raj requires he is not going to get the ground on the cheap from the council and not keep control while another investor puts £2million in and pampers his bruised ego. Fans have to take more control but as always it will be when everything else has faile...

Re: Raj Singh finally speaks to the poolies

It's very similar to us 10 years ago. Very non-committal, bemoans the lack of investors and discusses working with the Council. No doubt the Council will be the scapegoat for Singh when he walks away, despite the fact the Council are doing Pools a favour by not allowing him to own any land/the stad...

Short interview on Look North this evening with Alun Armstrong. He feels sorry for the fans & thinks if things had been normal we'd have taken 1500 down to Swindon. Can't see that to be honest, I'd imaging around 500 would have made the trip. wow! has someone hacked darlo pete's account? I'd usuall...

How many non season ticket holders will be prepared to pay £7.99 per game? I wouldn't think that many, unless of course you could split it with another family member. Seriously??.Match price last season was £14 if I remember correctly.£7.99 to watch a game from the comfort of your armchair is an ab...

Plans afoot for a salary cap in the National League as well. 900k limit in the National League, 600k at our level is what’s been proposed. a good idea. wonder how it will be policed though? will some clubs 'get round' this by adding extras to the overall benefits package for players (free houses, c...

See Kyle Lafferty also released by Sunderland what a signing he would be but I guess will find a higher level club.
I reckon Lafferty will be on between £6,000 - £8,000 a week.

He's also a loose canon so one to avoid.

Always had a soft spot for Gateshead due to being my mother’s birth place. Also think they were unfortunate to be demoted from the Football League in 1960 when they finished 3rd bottom 6 points above bottom placed Hartlepools. They have faced massive struggles since and have done well to survive an...
