Re: Darlington V Rushall

I thought Mustoe was non-contract? Not sure why I had that impression mind. Wrong when the signing was announced in May it said a one year contract! Ah fair enough must have confused him with someone else! Haha not sure if I am more surprised by the news - or that we actually announced it when a si...

Re: Darlington V Rushall

I'm not trying to start another debate about communication but I can't see any mention of Jordan Mustoe for ages in match reviews. Has he left? He's not been in the bench even when we're short of players. The best behaviour topic is on the site twice too. Well, he's not injured as he's not on the i...

Does that mean he's had to leave his day job? Or he didn't have one in the first place?
Think he actually says when asked what appealed to him about Boston "Just the Opportunity to come in train through the day". So I guess you can do that if you have your own ground and possile Gym?

Re: Jacob Hazel

Just listened to his first interview on his non scoring debut the other night. Didn't say anything controversial about his time at Darlo. One of his main reasons for moving was training everyday, although it did make me smile a bit when he referred to Boston as a big Club!

He's not on the injured list in the pre-match write up. Maybe Gowling needs to tell Ray!

Re: Warrington

1st 45mns we played really well, pressed & had a bit of luck when Warrington hit our bar. Defence held a high line very well & we scored a rare Rivers goal to round off an excellent move. 2nd half we had a chance to wrap it up if Moke had shot rather than passing. Gradually Warrington got on top & ...

Re: Forum

The club could really help itself with communication. For a club like ours, the news that we are providing accommodation is a big plus. What's wrong with a news story on the website about this? Looking at other club website news, this is the sort of thing provided, particularly as DJ said that play...

Re: Gowling MUST go!

Maybe this should be on the “truth” thread, but truth is that whenever I hear our manager in an interview I cannot stand the guy. His giggling and “ we’ve had a chat in there” comments are driving me mad. Surely that was an opportunity to accept a share of responsibility, thank the fans who travell...

Hit send too soon and am no good at maths. It is 36 plus current 14 isn't it so 50 points.
We have 28 games remaining don't we? So 14 wins equals 42 points, plus 14 equals 56 points.
You are correct so we are easily safe from relegation as Josh says. I will now go and resit my maths O Level!

Most people this season believe that 50pts will be enough to finish outside the bottom four and thereby avoid relegation.
Do most people think we will win half of our remaining matches?

Re: Gowling MUST go!

My hearing is going a bit dodgy with old age but if I've heard Gowlings pre-match interview he refers to the fact that we "win one lose one at the moment" but if we carry on like that for the rest of season we will be safe. That would potentially give us 24 more points than we have at the moment plu...

Re: Gowling MUST go!

Teams are not battered 8-0 from time-to-time, not even down to ten men. I'm not buying into this whole 'everything that could have gone wrong, did go wrong' mantra. Southampton managed to lose league games 9-0 twice in consecutive seasons and weren't relegated in either season. It happens. 2 season...

Re: Darlo v Chester

I don’t doubt that Jacob Hazel has the ability to be an effective striker at NLN level. However, I am not so sure he still has the desire to do it for Darlington. The lack of energy and commitment he displayed when coming on as a sub on Saturday just looked like he didn’t want to be here. As others...

I said it many times Jacob Hazel is a goal scorer he needs to have a target man beside him to allow him to run onto the ball , his work rate of the ball is good some fans can't see the wood from the trees.I would back Jacob to come good with the right setup  Have you been watching the game...

Massive mistake to let go the only player at our club who is capable of scoring 20 goals a season. It beggars belief if we sell him. Certainly a player who divides opinion. Did you place a bet? Fair play to the team and management, off the bottom and now potentially 6 points from safety if you allow for current goal difference we probably need that extra point.

He only played 360 minutes this season. Why are you wanting to base your opinion on a really small data-sample size, completely disregarding both the eye-test & the data over a much more prolonged period? What were his stats from January onwards, out of interest? That should be a reasonable sample ...
