Re: Ainsley pears
Warnock has tested positive for Covid 19 Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk Oh dear. Not good at his age. Hope he is OK. I know some don't like him because he is brash and in your face, but I would love more like him in the game as he has the balls to say it as he see's it and to hell with the kn...

Re: impact on ground capacity
I can't see any point whatever in worrying about the arena contract. It was made pretty clear the 2 years was so we do not have to re-apply every few weeks and also we were told the contract is for us to play there, "for as long as needed during that period". Thus, if we don't use it at all there is...

Re: Ainsley pears
God I wish we had had a chairman like Steve Gibson. Only if he was willing to spend a lot of his dosh. Otherwise much prefer to have the setup we have now. I don't mind the level we are at if we are self funding. My comment was more about his commitment since 1986. When did we last have a director/...

Re: Ainsley pears
Are Boro in financial trouble? They seem to have been selling left, right and centre for years now. They have just about the smallest squad in the Championship and even though some of the players they have cost decent money, they were funded by bigger sales anyway. They sold Gibson and Traore for a...

Re: Rugby League
Yes you did. Well Wigan really do surprise me, coming off a thumping by Hull KR, it looked a nailed on further loss away at Catalan. But there you go what do I know about RL, as they blow away Catalan in a one sided game. Admittedly our first try shouldn't have been allowed with a forward pass, but...

Re: Rugby League
Being a Rhino's fan it's tough to watch but Leeds aren't good enough and have a lot of players missing but Cas (who also have players missing) are unstoppable! The more I see them the more I'm convinced they are by far the best team in the league and great to watch too. They're in for not only a gr...

Re: Rugby League
Feeling totally gutted to have lost to Saints. We were under the cosh for the first 20 much like last week but after that we at worst matched them. Saints have now given away 8 tries since the restart and we have scored 6 of them. Not bad for the "whipping boys" of the league. Yet again for the seco...

Re: Rugby League
After Castleford lose unluckily against Warrington, it now looks like a 5 way battle for the all important top 4 places. In far more important news. KR move up from 11th to 10th for 24 hours after Wakey drop below us by a points difference of -1. Sadly we play Saints on their own grass tonight so w...

Interesting.
When you have read it click the link to the league table. It takes you to the fixture list and you have to press table again.
Makes interesting reading.

I see BetVictor have some odds up for the National North https://www.betvictor.com/en-gb/sports/240/meetings/120837110/events/1289069300 York 3/1 favourites, Fylde 4/1, Boston 10/1, us, Brackley and Chester 12/1, Chorley and Spennymoor Town 14/1. Kiddy are 50/1 - has something happened there?! York...

Well at least I now have the option of going if I want to. I will wait to see what the safety measures are before deciding if I should risk it, but at least this news makes it an option for me to go to games.

Re: Rugby League
Big smile.
Played the top 3 and not disgraced by any of them.
If you remember back at the pre season I said I thought we had good players if we could stay injury free.
You may not have enjoyed the result, but you must have enjoyed the way we played.

Fuming at that second Wigan try Pete.
Things like that change games.
VERY poor from the ref to not at least send it upstairs.

Re: Rugby League
Keep it within 3 scores I will not over worry, so 18 points difference. There have been some truly weird score lines since resumption with astronomical figures. Hope tonight is not 1 of those. We certainly have a better record at Headingly than Halliwell Jones Surprised you did not comment on the li...

Re: Rugby League
Here we go again. A 4 day turnaround is not great when you are facing the league leaders but it is what it is as Tony Smith keeps on saying. I am not sure the Wigwam pack is as mobile as Warry and Saints so it will be interesting to see how our throw the ball about game pans out against them. As usu...

Re: Rugby League
Well, we lost but I come away feeling hard done by. Very poor start and 12 down we really turned it on to get back to 12-12 and could easily have been ahead at half time. Saints coach now saying we were missing a couple, well we were missing the leagues top try scorer and a couple more. Game turned ...

But apart from all that, what have they done wrong???? What's wrong with Toronto being back next season? Surely the exceptional circumstances affecting everybody must be taken into account. They deserve their chance again next season. How about players not paid since BEFORE the pandemic broke? Players rent not being paid so young children threatened wi...

Re: Rugby League
I am in fear of our points difference over the next 3 games. 2 v Saints and 1 v Wigwam. If we manage under 120 points against over the 3 games I think I will take that as being good results !!!! Hearing something that shocks and disgusts me. Seems like Toronto are back for next season. How the hell ...

Re: Pre-season friendlies
I seem to remember once when we are at HP, possibly our first season in Div 1N, the Northern League released their fixtures before the NPL, and then of course when our fixtures came out, some Bishop matches had to be rearranged as we had priority. The norm is that the top level puts out its fixture...

I see Neil Hudgell the chairman of Hull KR is stepping down in December. Wonder if Hull KR could be in trouble as they lose their benefactor? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-league/53894790 No a deal is already in place for the takeover. December 1st was decided as the best date for the takeover ...

Nowhere near as long as you took to put up this response. I not only had flu and gout, I had forgotten of your existence.
Took me 4 days to reply and it took you 17. Yet you say I took my time.
Strange thought pattern.

A bit bizarre that given the fixture congestion, there is only one RL game taking place & that is the challenge cup as Catalan face Wakefield. I realise that Covid 19 is affecting some clubs, but surely some Superleague games could have been organised, in order to ease the fixture congestion later ...

Re: Darlington FC's position regarding inaccurate social media postings
I think there's something uniquely toxic about how people use facebook that is somehow worse than other social media. It seems far more abusive than anything else. I stopped using it years ago. I try to keep a policy of not saying something on the internet that I wouldn't say in person but for a lo...
