It's amazing how much admin charges cost. I'm in a works pension and my AVC's are in the defined a pound is worth a pound section, so I know how much they are worth, however I get charged 4% for them to tell me that! Not having a dig at the staff cos it's not their fault but I hope The Man gets it ...

Re: Just an idea
How about this? We take the £300k already raised and put it on Big Bucks to win on Thursday. This should make about £100k profit. 1/2 at the minute so how about £200k on big bucks and a £100k double with quevaga? The double pays just over even money so that'll give us half a million!! Off all week,...

Re: Todays attendance
2,,200 was still more than what 6 or 7 other clubs in this league got yesterday, plus 3 or 4 in League 2. For a team that has taken 2 points out of the last 30, is made up of journeyman and kids, and has rarely broken 2000 in the last two seasons, what were people expecting? People were told they ha...

Re: Drew Broughton
I too thought he did ok, and better than I expected to be honest. Bowman too wide, and no-one in midfield looked to run beyond him for any flick ons, and he did win a few. 10 times better than Paddy Deane!! MBW was far worse today - offered us nothing when he should have been dictating midfield. Let...

Re: Fundraising Idea - Fans 5 a side Tournament
I like the idea of the 3 day thing Harry but I was thinking more of including our own fans than going down the corporate route and pricing them out. I want to keep it as cheap as possible but still make a bit for the club if possible Squad of 10, you're looking at £30 per player for adults, £5 each...

Re: Fundraising Idea - Fans 5 a side Tournament
I'd had a similar thought, but along the lines of a six or seven-a-side tournament at the Arena after the season's ended, maybe over a bank holiday weekend. Capitalising on the interest shown from Schools on Mufti day, maybe Saturday could be Primary Schools day, Sunday Secondary Schools day, and Mo...

Rarely agree with Jazz, but do here. A group of supporters are currently trying to get their heads around the intricacies of taking over a football club, taking it out of administration, and running it sustainably. Whilst looking after their day jobs. I would suggest this is quite a complicated proc...

Re: Curtis Main starts for Boro tonight
Based on 120 mins against a top half premier league defence, in a weakened Middlesborough side, which by the end resembled a youth team. Mowbray obviously thinks differently, that's why he's got a 2 1/2 year contract.Fatty eats roadkill wrote:Curtis Main is the new Pele! Shame he still wont score goals!!!

A few people seem to dislike them, none of whom will have the drive to set up an alternative club. They could have got on the Trust Board if they really had the inclination - haven't the present incumbents stood down before, only to have to retake their places due to lack of interest. Surely a coup ...

I thought Tamworth were a very decent side who could have won on another day. Not taking anything away from the lads who didn't play badly but Tamworth deserved something. That said, how many times have we lost game we deserved somethingout of, over the years? If it hadn't been for Russell, we woul...

Apart from his superb range of passing what I was most impressed with was the way he always looked to have so much time on the ball - a trait that many very good players have. All this given that he has the physical stature of a Mark Convery I think, without going overboard, he has a huge future in...

[personally I think 1500 was not that great for an FA Cup tie, yes I know regular season ticket holders had to pay, I would have thought that if £18 if you dont have a season ticket for league games is too much, which is understandable in the current economic climate, then the opportunity to go and ...

The interesting part is, although a few of us noticed his little rants here and there, and took note of the way he tore into the squad....not many put 2 + 2 together to see him losing control. It's only now that most are seeing where his faults were.... we probably should have got rid when he rippe...
