Re: Leamington v Darlington
We may get a result today but surely we can't continue with just Ainge and young Harvey S up front. We need a third striker in ASAP! I don't believe we can't afford it. Why? Ok I get why it would be beneficial, but if we have to we can revert to 4-5-1 which most were saying was our best formation a...

I get that, but it does him no favours keeping hold of him as he won't get game time, better to go on loan.bga wrote:It is Catch 22 isn't it this way he always remain 4th choice?

Re: Vaulks goes on loan to Pickering
Tbh there's little point him being part of our squad purely because he's 4th choice, he is better off on loan.

And who was it that piled up that snow in the first place? Or requested he did it... Or took the picture .... Or voted for it....but ultimately he needed to do it, I don't think he has in anyway tried to diminish our part in everything, I just think he is listing what he feels are his achievements ...

Think we get £60k cause we was called up for Gibraltar for the Nations League, we get the amount from UEFA as compensation after the Nations League has finished. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk It's about 3k per game I think (though unsure if that's each game they play, or each game they miss) t...

Re: REECE STYCHE TRANSFERRED TO ALFRETON CONFIRMED
Interesting to see the FA Cup referenced, as I thought we had supposedly stopped budgeting for this. Chicken and egg with the crowds. Not playing terribly well, awful home record, perceived poor experience in the ground. Not sure how you grow attendances given what is happening on the field without...

Re: Styche gone this week
In fairness I'm guessing we could have paid to increase capacity there. Wasting money by building up someone else's ground 12 miles out of town, when you're not staying there long-term, is never a sensible option. No it isn't but to be honest it doesn't feel like money spent at BM is a great long t...

Re: Styche gone this week
The real disappointment amongst fans if they are honest isn’t the fact that we’re re-aligning our budget (like any prudent business should) but the realisation that we can’t compete in a regional league with decent sized crowds relative to our opposition. Many need to take a reality check of where ...

Re: Styche gone this week
TW put his neck on the block with 'his' squad. The implications of our poor start are coming home to roost. TW knows that if he doesn't deliver on the playing front then crowds go down. While I wouldn't argue with the above - I'd point out the following. Can you imagine Martin Gray's reaction to th...

All in all I'm probably in a minority but I came away on Saturday thinking we did ok in awful conditions, and I went home happy with the effort and result. I'm with you on this, I was happy with that result & come away from that relatively pleased. We needed to get a result and we got that, now hop...

Anyone who was there today will understand when I say that I was both so relieved and yet completely alarmed by today's proceedings. Now I've watched the highlights I see what you mean. It looks like both teams took leave of their senses! Good effort by Saunders for his second goal, and as for his ...

Re: FC United V Darlington match thread
I think it would help if we relieved Styche of the captaincy. He's an individualist and operates best when he's focused on just one thing - scoring goals - and worrying about sorting out the other ten gets in the way. On top of that, up front he can't see the whole picture - he needs to be looking ...

Re: Am I the only one - balanced view
Agree with much of the original post but also most of LoidLucan too. We should absolutely be performing much better than we have been and if we don’t win a fair few points from next 5 games then we are in a serious relegation struggle which is ridiculous. No one denies there have been lots of good ...

Not quite sure why you're trying to deflect the discussion to being about me. It's a tactic you deploy repeatedly when you've got nothing left to say. I've kept it on topic and been polite. Everyone can see your "We can't afford to sack Wright" argument has fallen apart, but your deflection tactics...

The issue of the training and all the travelling our non-NE based players are enduring is an interesting one. Back in the day, the echo used to report that Cyril Knowles would have the players report for training at 7am on Sunday mornings after particularly poor performances. I'm guessing this isn'...

Re: Darlington v Stockport
I don't see what's wrong with how the caton saga has been done, it's fairly normal to transfer list players and make them available telling them they aren't in his plans. Also not sure about TW alienating players, it could well be sour grapes about getting less game time/released as Saunders, Thomps...

Re: Darlington v Stockport
Brown and hunter left before we knew Heaton was going, ok we expected it, but I think TW didn't envisage brown playing too much with both Heaton and Galbraith there, and clearly he prefers trotman at RB. Portas was probably the one that's cost us as he could have replaced wheatley when he was suspen...

According to the Echo, TW reckons Wheatley has a far better chance of being fit for this weeks game. They reckon he could have a hernia! Now I've had 2 hernias and it was hard to walk, let alone running round for 90 minutes playing footie. I've had one Pete and 2 weeks to get fit again? And the res...

Yes onewayup, the players.......... I mean, what is going on with them? Or some of them. Re: Hartlepool Aiming to be Most Hated Club in English Footb
Society does indirectly decide. If someone has a previous offence then it has to be declared on a job application. It is highly likely that any application would go straight in the bin. These days you don't even need to have a conviction. If you are CRB checked, then if police have even investigate...

To be fair to Harry, what is our CEO's footballing credentials? You seem to take his pronunciation as gospel. What do you mean by footballing credentials? His job is to run us on a day-to-day basis. His business knowledge and sense have taken us to a stronger position financially. He has a far bett...

I was stood directly behind in line when their left back scored yesterday - as soon as he hit it I could see it was going in - it was a cracker to be fair and I doubt many keepers at this level of football would have saved it. The lad is a young keeper - a good shot stopper - looks as though he is ...

If it's not working, then yeah. Presumably we were covering some of his wages at Warrington, and I'm seeing no sign of a permanent deal arising Lot of money to pay out if he just goes back to being a bit part of the squad delivering very little and then decided to sit on the contract for the rest o...

I thought that Burn did ok to be honest in both of the last two games, he looks much more comfortable next to Hughes who was quite vocal organising the defence and they make a good pairing, I would not change pairing as it can only improve with game time together. Hughes is very good at anticipatin...

Re: Styche and Ainge
No issue with the same back four this Saturday based on last Saturday, even if Tez is fully fit. Longer term, though, I'd like to see Burn really have to fight for his place as I can see a lot of potential in pairing Tez and Hughes at CH. My point on Collins was more so overall. Relations between h...
