Re: BM or HP

Come on man, give your head a shake... As nice a little ground as HP is, it is not in Darlo, I would rather watch Darlo in Darlo, not 12 miles away with the inevitable decline in support I dont like BM personally, but that is not going make me vote for HP. Re: Who do we fancy then?

Armstrong for me. I know he did a bit of a number on us last time around but the bloke knows how to get a tune out of some bang average players. I’d suggest (although I don’t know) that our budget would be at least as good, if not better, than Blyth’s and I reckon we could tempt him down Not keen o...

Re: Trotman extends contract

That’s great news, really like Trotman. I expect TW to be here next season as Trots wouldn’t have signed if Tommy was moving on and would have found a club more local to him. 2 + 2 = 71 The club had an option and extended it. He is one of our most valuable assets, regardless of whether he stays or ...

Maybe that’s why he never brought any subs on against Chester, what he has available clearly aren’t good enough. Have to disagree there Divas. The young LB from Huddersfield had a good game yesterday allowing Elliott to revert back to midfield .Listening to DFR they both played well, we had shape an...

I tell you what was embarrassing is US making a substitution after 92.1 mins of injury time of 3 mins added on... Pete, I am virtually on my knees asking for a no deal leave. I always wanted out as I believed the EU to be undemocratic and heavily loaded towards some countries to the detriment of others. Anyone wishing to query my reasons for being desperate to escape now should simply read the treaty of Lisbon...

Almost like it’s a bad decision taking off a CM (Palmer) for a winger who offers absolutely nothing (Henshall) when trying to close out a win against a good side... In fairness the way the ref was I could see palmer getting sent off otherwise. I'm disappointed to drop the points so late, but I thin...

Cast iron certainty that BTB will take a big hit next season, certainly if Wright is still here,so hopefully the loan system will be used from the off.Two or three of the same quality as Smith and Nelson would be a great addition. I thought it had already been stated that in future we will look to u...

Re: Alfreton away

The Non League Paper is probably right. I just enjoyed the way we battled against a team from "land of the giants" and by the 2nd half we were reasonably dominant and should have probably snuck a win. Wasn't really a good game for a neutral though. I thought first half was a non event, but 2nd half...

Re: Alfreton away

His goal return for us as a central striker gives a slight hint that this is his preferred position. Agreed. He looked isolated at times when out on the wings, very much a lone wolf but a capable finisher. He needed some decent balls to feed on, & when on his game, one of the best in NLN. Since bei...

Re: Alfreton away

Seems like a match where the loanees we've had recently would have thrived. However, just lacking that extra quality has probably cost us 2pts. TW has to work to bring in some players of similar quality if we want to see out the season on or more positive footing rather than be dragged into a scrap...

Some time ago money was raised by offering fans a place for their names to be placed on the back of the dugouts. If I remember correctly each name would ...

What they did do is hold onto the ball extremely well for about 10 minutes without actually threatening.

Re: Sports Village (latest)

A 4G pitch at Mowden will have nothing to do with the football club and we won't see any benefit in finances for that reason. The only benefit is that matches maybe on during some bad weather. The negative is that if we did make it to the top of the conference, we would have no option to remove the...

As odd as this might seem to say, we’ve threatened to do this all season, and have thrown away several opportunities to do so. We looked organised, threatening, pacey and committed throughout.
