Re: Chester Tsunami....
to be fair there was a suggestion the electrical systems at the stadium had been damaged quite badly by water ingress but the pictures on twitter were laughable: a few polystyrene tiles broken!

John Spuhler,Harry Bell,Ken Morton,Richard Davis and Tom Reynolds formed Darlington's forward line during the 1955/56 Season but what was unusual about it ? Did they all work together downt pit? Or int rolling mills? Had they all suffered from rickets or diphtheria? Were they all the illegitimate c...

Re: What went...right?
I was very concerned about TW until we turned the corner at Leamington. I admit that I was wrong about him and I am happy to be proved wrong. I think what went right is: Simple, straightforward and fixed formation Sensible shape and style Good signings Same starting 11 Confidence returning in key pl...

Re: Tamworth v Darlington Match Thread
I thought a draw was a fair result in a typical mid table tussle. Both sides had chances, both sides could have won it, neither did. Mills took some stick but looked unfit. He clearly has some ability but fitness is holding him back. The problem was he left us wide open down one flank as he couldn't...

Good news for the lad and hopefully good news for the club. A decent offer and we will sell - we have no other choice.
I assume he is under contract unlike Wheatley who is under contract but then might not be!

People want it all and they want it now, with minimal effort. Raj knows this. Once he knows what you want he’s able to manipulate you. He has the money to make your wishes come true, you know that and he knows that (but that doesn’t mean he’s going to spend it, irrespective of what you might think)...

I might be able to do this rearrnaged game! it will need a cab from the ground to the station as the last train back to MKC is a 2205. There is a very tight connection via Birmingham at 2234 should anything go wrong/ there be loads of injury time. it must be years since i went to an away mid week game

or I guess stand behind an argument based on blind faith and simple hope - and state this as such. to be fair, the evidence for punting TW and AW a few weeks ago was stacking up by the week. so the logical thought process at that point in time pointed to getting rid. I think Wright started off on a...

I listened on the mighty darlofansradio and I have to say that the win was never in doubt. Will this quieten Darlogramps a little? What do you think? Re: GAINSBOROUGH vs LEAMINGTON Tonight
I'm sorry, but this blaming MG for everything has to stop. No one will deny he left us in a bad position, although I'd argue the repeated weakness and failure of previous boards to stand up to MG was a big contributory factor. It seems that they let him do as he pleased out of fear of him, and out ...

Presumably people coming from Darlo, won't be affected as they'd come via Derby? Change at Sheffield/Chesterfield ;-) The trains that serve Alfreton are disrupted and are not currently running/diverted away from Nottingham. Alfreton v Darlo - travel news
There is a very bad fire at Nottingham station that has casued the station to be closed since about 0700 Friday morning. It is highly likely the station will be closed tomorrow and this may impact on those of us going to Alfreton by rail. Trains from London to Nottingham are terminating at East Midl...

Re: Darlington FC V Salford
I am surprised that losing by one goal after missing a penalty against top of the league and full time Salford City is the breaking point for people. If we don't pick up any points in the next 3 games then I'll change my tune. Alfreton & Leamington should be ripe for getting at least 2 draws agains...

Re: Darlington FC V Salford
Yes we are in a relegation fight, but to say we are down already is laughable. We have had good performances of late, and York, Harrogate and Salford all found it difficult to beat us. The reason we are down there at the moment is that we have not done well against the teams around us, who we shoul...

Re: Darlington FC V Salford
To say we were awful is ridiculous. We played well in large parts of the game, same as we did against York. Im as concerned as anyone about the defensive mistake, but im been mildly encouraged by recent performance. Play at tonights level and we will beat lesser teams But we don't. We always screw ...

It's like a broken record.....play quite well for chunks of the game and just give it away yet again. Enough is enough for me with TW. Changed the whole midfield again from Saturday and continues to play Thompson as a wing back. Wheatley andvSyers did ok but hey let's bring in an out of form Turnbu...
