Re: Sports Village
Am I right in saying that the Rugby club own the land at BM? I know if we leave now we would be liable to pay back any grants. What happens if our landlords move (to a new sports hub) and sell the land from under us? If we moved with them would we still be liable? I believe grants would have to be ...

Re: Sports Village
Situations change. I’ve the opposite view, it would be careless to pump more money in to BM until the board have been able to properly evaluate any opportunities that *might* offer a better future for the club. Totally agree once the seating is in we don’t have to spend anymore money on development...

I see the latest instalment of the Sal£ord story back from the brink is on.......................... Sky premier league tonight @ 10pm for anyone interested I've seen a clip and it shows us a few times.. I was going to watch it but I had an appointment to get water boarded at that time so I went to...

This is the only reason FCUM's game is on....... https://twitter.com/FCUnitedMcr?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor Likewise with Stockport. Having helped put the covers onto the pitch at the Arena, I can testify that it's a big job. They were stored in a big unit at the Arena a...

Re: Match off
Should be an opportunity to play it next week as both teams a free. Got to be an away game according to Craig S as BM is being used. That's a shame - the drawbacks of ground sharing! We best hope Boxing Day is on otherwise we're going to have some cash flow issues (if we aren't already) Thinking ab...

Re: Match off
Where are the covers???? Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk I believe the covers only cover the penalty areas, which isn't much use really. The covers are still at HP in a right mess as they were dumped under the temporary stand 5 years ago and haven't been moved. They're absolutely massive and f...

Re: Northern Echo Arena
Given the council have been very proactive in the development of the "sporting hub" at Blackwell... to then throw their weight behind another one in a different area, in a town that really doesn't need two, then I'd be as miffed as I am that they scuppered all our plans way back when... I thought t...

Re: Northern Echo Arena
For all the talk of a sports village, do we really believe that a town the size of Darlo has the footfall to support such a thing. Flying..... Depends on how it's done... what else is there in the area as well... Stockton, and places like Aycliffe, Bishop, all pretty accessible... I'd say it would ...

Re: The Blackwell Deal
Ground will be brilliant when completed. Do you know something I don't?! Now, my imagination isn't very good, but I am struggling to imagine that BM will ever be a brilliant football ground. It will of course get better than it is, but I can't see how it'll ever be a particularly great place to wat...

Re: The Blackwell Deal
I have a strong dislike towards the rugby club, long story short they have a real chip on their shoulder The irony in this sentence is astounding. If 'they' had a chip on their shoulder about 'us' being there then why did they agree to rent their ground out to us? I would imagine a significant rent...

The Fan Owned Model
Wrexham are top of the conference. They are run on a fan owned model. Before the season started the fans used a Go Fund Me page to boost their budget and it's clearly paying dividends... An example of what can be achieved with this model... one I find encouraging personally... I know they have an ad...

Re: The Blackwell Deal
Now we're more or less settled in at Blackwell, is there any chance we could get chapter and verse on exactly what our deal with the rugby club is? How are costs shared, who has which priorities, who gets what from the takings, what rights if any have we to share in the catering provision -- right ...

My god yes it would be... our crowds would plummet... one point our former SG director made on social media is that right now, our main priority is survival, not the ground... I agree completely.H1987 wrote:Relegation would be a disaster.
