Re: Sports Village
What is the proposal for the Sports Village? Is there anything online about what the proposals are? If we upped and left BM would it be us sharing the arena with DMPRFC or would a smaller stadium be built for our needs adjacent to the Arena with us and possibly DRFC in mind? And would be partners i...

Re: Public Meeting - 11/12/2017
Leaving aside the season ticket DD the most important statement to my mind was the following ... "We would however like to commence the infra-structure fund via a direct debit scheme (or one-off donations) so can we start to develop funds to immediately prime the pump in order to fund income-generat...

Re: Darlington V Tamworth Match Thread
.... It would have been quite understandable if the rugby game had kicked off at 2pm, but it was actually a kicked off at 3pm, but I realise the half dozen or so rugby club members take precedence over the 100 or so footie fans in the bar. It's about time that the rugby club realises that it's us t...

Re: Taking Stock: Consolidation
One facet of taking stock is that we as a club should have learned the danger of allowing any one personality to much input/influence over all affairs. Similarly when, and it is when we sign new players the length and terms of any contracts need to be thought through and signed off in accordance wit...

Recent events regarding departures are nothing new when a new management team take charge. Our situation is no different. On the playing side: TW/AW have had a couple of weeks to make assessments of who is good enough, who is in it for the long haul etc. I expect others will depart along the way, li...

"York City have signed striker Gary Martin on a short-term deal ahead of Saturday’s Vanarama National League North game against Curzon Ashton" Seems MG is desperate to increase firepower up front: Not willing to back his judgement with a long term deal, seems more like short term hope strategy to me...

If they are that knowledgeable and confident with their proposal, would it not seem more objective to get themselves to a position, whereby they might be able to put into effect their well thought out plans. So what's the solution? That's a hard one to answer, but without substantial funding from the fans and or an investor, it's hard to see a solution to our ground problems. Arena!!!! Re: Beck
It is more a question of value than fitness. As i understand it, his contract, arranged by one MG was identical to that of Ferguson. This was eluded to several weeks ago by DJ. York City do not value him anywhere near that trigger value. MG thought he had a done deal, YC Directors rained him in "ho...

It would be more sensible to have a network of people they trust in different regions rather than a set 'scout'. I am really confused about Wright anyway. Had he given up a full time job to relocate for a part time job? Who told you he was going to relocate? The way i see, it for the present it is ...

I take it all of you specialists know what John Tempest,s profession is ???
I have more faith in him, assisted by the other 2 boards members, getting the process right, given he does it day in day out rather than the "guessers" on this thread and others.

Some people have short memories, it is not to long ago I recollect Spennymoor coming to our assistance to help complete our fixture list.
It good for local football and the area in general to see them & Blyth doing well.

Their average attendance so far is 915, admittedly they have had some of the bigger clubs that will have swelled this, however for a small town of under 20,000 its a pretty impressive %

Appointing a new manager even at this level can be a precarious business. The 7 may be applicants, however whilst it might seem to be a process of appointing just another employee, should any of those applicant be currently employed in a similar role then their are rules and processes to follow. Re: New manager poll
Again conjecture. Bandying figures about irresponsibly does the club no favours, neither I guess the candidates who might draw different conclusions. It is very similar to why clubs opt for undisclosed transfer fees, as they can undermine the process. You seem sensible, able to make a case based on ...
