I listened on DFR. Didn’t this goalie make two good saves at the end of the match? I think from Salkeld.
Talking of DFR, how on earth did Michael Cansfield not know Young was 17? And don’t start me on the Farsley misinformation……

Re: Curzon V Darlington

We still need to try more shots from outside the box as Will showed us the way. Particularly when the opposition keeper is playing on one leg. Don't think I've ever seen a keeper having to carry on when they are as hampered as that by injury. He looked to be in agony. This match last night again sh...

Re: Scott Barrow

Real shame if he is out for rest of season which I guess he will be if it is broken. Why do we seem to get such bad luck. Think he has been hugely influential in the games he has played and will be a big miss given he can play a number of positions. Sure we wil have tried for Burton and if not, it ...

Re: Darlington v Buxton

Armstrong looked utterly broken after beck left, and that very plainly seeped into the team. Jacob Blyth flopped, but he spent his whole time with us hearing interviews in which Armstrong implied he wasn't good enough. Whatever Armstrong did before then - and a whole load of it was good to great - ...

Re: Darlington v Buxton

Is there any wonder when he was priced out of his main targets following the departure of Beck and then was informed he had even less to spend in the summer. We finished top half under the previous budget so mid table was going to be par for the course at best. All the way though the summer we were ...

Re: The bottom seven

Nice analysis. Couple of additional points: we need to keep going and finish as high as possible as we don’t know what will happen with any bankruptcies or relegation for non-footballing reasons. Maybe 4th from bottom will survive? Rushall only get 300-400, unless there is a decent away following. ...

The sponsor works better on the white background. For that reason only I would go for number 1.

Re: Darlington v Buxton

Players are going out on loan but the ones we have tried to get have chosen other clubs in better positions. Even players who want to get themselves in the shop window are choosing other options. If only we hadn’t penny pinched last season! Yeh funny that--guess it's what happens when the manager a...

Agree I thought Lees would have been a good shout too but a number of others also.
We had it between Griffiths, Main, Rivers, Lees and Nelson for the impact he made on the game. Apparently it’s Griffiths first ever MOM in his time here.

Re: Darlington v Buxton

I think we really need to be trying to tie Watson and Mitchell down to be here next season, regardless of which league we are playing in. I think they should be able to build a team that is either capable of holding their own in NLN or being promotion contenders in the league below. I look at this ...

Re: Asante

He was asked a few questions by Andrew Scullion about his injury issues, hopes to be back involved next weekend. Seems a genuine bloke and hopefully has a point to prove. It seems a lot of his recent issues have stemmed from a misdiagnosis when at Chesterfield and it has lead to more problems becaus...

Re: Boston v Darlington 20/02/24

Sick and tired of saying it but we are asking players to play in positions that don't suit them. Nelson and Main would be best suited in a two up front formation, not all this someone in the hole bollocks that we seem to have persisted with for nearly a year under 3 managers, when it doesn't work wi...

Just watched the goals, brilliant work from the team. No sound though, or is it just me? None for me & just shows what a quality job our Kev & the DFR teams do. Re: South Shields v Darlo

Good to eventually take advantage when circumstances went in our favour. Their fans were angry over the reds but both looked fairly clear-cut. We were ruthless as they tired late on but for a long time it looked like they might get away with a backs-to-the-wall 0-0. Possession-wise it must have bee...

Re: South Shields v Darlo

I thought it was disgracelul of Shields to shoehorn a few hundred Darlington fans into such a tight area of the ground. It was very overcrowded with very restricted views for most while there was loads of space elsewhere around the ground. Very poor from them. Yet we persistently give a full end to...

Re: Blood on hands/heads must roll

I’m struggling to see the improvement to be honest and that’s not meant as a criticism of SW, clearly he’s not the issue. The games against Kings Lynn, Southport, Tamworth, Banbury and Brackley followed the similar pattern we’ve been used to all season. Decent amount of possession, defend reasonabl...

Re: Any new faces

As I have said before, if we cant sign good players when we are top then what chance when we are second bottom? Not many players are going to commit themselves to us on a permanent deal when we could well be in the NPL next season. It wouldn't surprise me if Main has a release clause if we go down. ...

Re: Darlington v Alfreton 10/02/24

The defence as a unit, including TT, I feel has improved under SW. We just need to find the key at the other end of the pitch. Still no sign of any new faces which is worrying, seems like quite a few have turned us down because of our league position plus we have the bigger problem of Spenny and po...

Re: Blood on hands/heads must roll

Ahh I forgot the season finished in September! If the board were so confident in Armstrong’s ability to give him a two year deal then they were stupid to get rid so soon in the season especially if there was money still in the kitty. Even if Armstrong had stayed we would not be in this mess now, we...
