Re: If the next two home game are postponed
If AKITJ is the artist formerly known as DJ or LDC then I think I'd be inclined to believe him. As I'm not sure whether he/she is or not, I'll reserve judgement. But think sensibly folks, no matchday income for another few weeks, still paying out full whack wages - we could well be fucked. By the w...

Re: Simon Brown available on a free transfer
Gerken was by some way the best keeper we've had since Stockdale, and arguably better than Stockdale. He was possibly the best keeper we've had since Collett, along with Schmeichel and Stockdale. Totally agree. Gerken had fierce command of his box but sadly Bristol City know that and he's not avail...

Could be a good shout, but it was reported that it was a forward and a midfielder wasn't it? Presuming Quakerz is factually correct, then Dempsey is the midfielder, which would leave the other as being a forward.

We haven't had a badge kisser since Lids and he probably never kissed his badge. I'd say Maddo had the same affection for the club as Lidds, if not more being a supporter since he was young, but you're still right - none of Penney's team were here for their love of the club, such is the way these d...

I think Holland are the dark horses this year.
Germany always improve as the competition goes on - I'd expect the same again from them, getting to at least the quarters.
Brazil have fantastic strength in depth, which I think should see them through to the semis at least.

Someone mentioned this (well, they mentioned Simon Thomas getting released) earlier today. I doubt Staunton will go back for him, as he'd all but stopped playing him in our last few matches.

Lumsdon and Bridges are best mates, so there may or may not be something in this.
He's probably one of the higher earners (and also one of the better players), but he's barely played a game for us in 5 months, so if we can get him off the wage bill, so be it.

But if he only ever plays 30 minutes, he won't have been much of a signing. I'm not talking about value.wylam_rangers wrote:

Re: Notts County - New threat from taxman!
A good mate of mine is a County fan, and I saw him at New Years. I asked him what was going on there, and he said the story changes every week, but the facts seem to be that Muto finance may have been a cover story for Trembling, and that he's had ownership the whole time - very complicated. Basical...

I think it's a bad move for Coyle. I think he should of stayed at Burnley and keeping them up would have been a better thing on his CV than leaving half way through. Yep, I think it's a funny move for him if he does go ahead with it. Bolton obviously have the infrastructure to do well, and he's pro...

From what I can see, according to that site, our last 3 signings have been Whelan, Porritt, and Windass.

I could ask on here for Darlo fans to name any player on their books who they think could currently do a job for any team in League 1 and I bet no one could. I think Foster could, if surrounded by other decent players. He's not as good as he was 2 years ago, but has still looked perfectly capable t...

A good idea, but why two nights (surely you want to see if you've got enough interest in one night), and why only a weeks notice? Still, the right idea. The club should do more regular nights like this, say once a month, or fortnightly if popular, to encourage people down to the club during the week...

ive not seen anything from foster to suggest he'd be a decent manager - there are plenty of players who have played 500+ games in the lower leagues that have not made good managers. his affection for a good drink and smoke out of work wouldnt be the best example to some of the younger players eithe...
