Re: Darlington United
I created a thread about these a week back to see what it was all about but agree with comments in this thread too, it reads like pure fantasy and i really feel sorry for the towns other clubs. In todays digitial world folk seem to go for fantasy clubs like this. Hashtag united anyone

Re: National League North 23/24 - FA League Allocations
A lot of the pyramid is in dire need of restructuring. The only solution would be to go to 4 divisions at step 2 - but the impact of that would be to remove a promotion spot / playoff spot. What people fail to recognise is that the leagues are representative of the distribution of the population in...

Re: National League North 23/24 - FA League Allocations
The pyramid has been restructured alot over the past few year and not sure what more the fa can do. Add a national league midland division and have 6 teams going down from national league or daft inter league play offs or have lopsided conference north and south division. Im sick of teams moaning ab...

Re: National League North 23/24 - FA League Allocations
It's not emotional though, it's a consequence of the stupid system they have put into the step below ours where they gave four leagues parity despite three of the four being southern leagues. The inevitable consequence is that it further imbalances our level. It's not only unfair to clubs like ours...

Re: Pools for sale
In sure most knew what singh was like when he first came to hartlepool, but what was the other option, bankrupcy. As I said at the time, they could have chosen bankruptcy then, or bankruptcy in a few years time. End result is the same either way but they'd have got to start their journey sooner wit...

Re: Greetings again Darlo fans
Whilst clubs get a years grace to do ground improvements i wonder if proof of funds and planning permission has to be in place before a teams promoted or it could be another north ferriby situation. To be honest clubs since north ferriby have not really need to do any work or at least nothing major

Re: Darlington united
I have no idea how often the arena needs inspecting for a safety certificate or who issues the certificate but it looks in a right state and thats from the outside. As for this Darlington united the ticket prices seem steep but what puzzles me tkoa mentions is that away fans have to buy tickets from...

Re: Pools for sale
Despite being about the lunacy of a Singh regime - it also talks to some of the lunacy of money at other clubs! "Gary Liddle would have stayed, but there was no-one at the managerless club able to make a decision on his future after South Shields offered a two-year contract and a pay rise." Yeah no...

Re: Darlington united
Exactly. Any sane person starting a team in the 11th tier would use a facility that suits that level, the small number that would watch them would be put off by the stadium

Re: Darlington united
Decent website and manager in place but something not quite right. If a pro team cant make the arena work how could they and surely any fans looking for a alternative to darlington can watch ra or town for cheaper then a tenner.

Anyone know anything about these? Playing at the arena and where on earth is the support going to come from. Looks like a windup to me

Re: Pools for sale
Although there can be a certain amount of glee for Darlo fans to see the Pools/Singh project come to a sticky end it also illustrates that too much chopping and changing of management and players confuses everyone as to what the overall plan is. As stated in this piece, success can only be achieved...

Jeff Stelling is telling people that Raj Singh has several very interesting buy-out offers on his desk. He's also recounting the story of what might have been at Hartlepool. He said that as club president an agent spoke to him when the actors Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds decided to buy a footba...

Re: Pools for sale
I find the Wrexham duos reported interest in Pools a bit unlikely but you never know. A source tells me that Al Pacino has great plans for Neasden FC and someone who looked like Johnny Dep was spotted at Stockton after Rishi Sunak's visit - what a twit, he didn't seem to grasp that Long Eaton beat ...

Re: Pools for sale
I suppose when singh bought pools they did not have much choice, was either that or go bust. Mind are hartlepool seem to have had the shortest stint of any newly promoted team into league two. Im a bit dubious singh will give them a decent budget with them been up for sale, why would he bother

Re: Peterborough Sport v Darlo
Why not play at Peterborough North Star? I appreciate its not ideal but it should be okay. You have to play at an appropriately graded ground for the level that you're at. So would have to be a category B ground or above. Not an awful lot of choice around that area of the country unfortunately for ...

Re: Every cloud has a silver lining.
I’m not bothered Pete. It doesn’t give me any joy to see them struggle with Singh. Me neither, whilst they are a derby for gateshead theres no real rivalry between the clubs and in sure most gateshead fans would rather see them in league two. Its bad for north east football. Hartlepool must surely ...
