Bookies

Weird divergence of prices which is an opportunity to back all contenders and guarantee a profit. eg Darlo 2/5 and 9/10 with Salford 11/8 and 5/2

Re: well,well

Lets be honest. Any result in salford and the title is ours unless we implode and thats not going to happen. If we lose its game on.

Re: well,well

That guy (polar bear I think) that posted Spenny were our biggest rival, isnt looking so daft now even if bookies have them 25/1

Re: Todays games

Spen. I cant believe you are agreeing with me. As I said they dont give money away. And if anybody is stupid enough to back a team at 20/1 when they are alraedy out then the bookies will say ta very much. Interestingly they rate Spenny as having less chance than somebody who has alraedy been knocked...

Re: Todays games

For anybody who thinks Spen will top the league, then just look at the bookies odds. Bookies dont like giving money away. We are 3/5 best. Salford 2/1, Northwich 7/1 and Spen 33/1. If you really think they have a chance then pile in.

Yes footifan. I dont remember it being called the kop then but seen it so referred since. It was our "star" centre forward Lawton that failed to convert one on one.

Re: 50 years ago Arsenal

Cant remember much about it other than we froze a bit. I was behind goal at the kop, and only remember us having one real chance, one on one with keeper. Disappointing game as we never managed to put them under pressure, but yes the Pools replay was a magic night.

I agree about Bamber Bridge and Farsley. God knows why BB are 66/1 and our win against them was massive.

I always watch these and only just realised there is a commentary!!!
And I have to say its very good - no umming and ahing and knows all the players on both sides. And better than mainstream as its the facts and not opinions. Probably a good thing as would tend to be biased. Well done again.

Gabba away at Plymouth. Despite having a defender right on him, he somehow made a bit of space and chipped the keeper from 20 yds at least. I was in the Plymouth crowd and thought I was going to get lynched.

Just seen the highlights. Never seen West play before, but everything thats been said is true. West must spend all of their training time on perfecting their techniques on diving, time wasting, arguing with the ref, and general thuggery.

Re: v Bolton Wanderers 14th November 1961

I was 12 as well. We had just beaten West Ham 3-2 in a fantastic match, and there was a feeling that we could beat anybody, so when we lost 2-1 the disappointment was intense. I cant remember details of the game, other than little Joe Rayment's ridiculously huge shorts. Their full back had no chance...

I would assume they meet once a week at least and that all relevant reports should be sent to the authority within a stated time frame, without which there are furt...
