Re: Darlington's 'demise'....
TBH what he said is true we were the only league club from County Durham but that was a long time ago. Without a Brad Groves individual investing money into DFC I can’t see that changing. Even with the BTB the overall budget I’d heard whilst at the player awards is going to be greatly reduced.

Re: New Manager Interviews this week
I’d like Armstrong or Bower, but I think we’ll get Kelly & McGurk from Hyde or Clark. A tense and speculative week or two ahead! Know ones knows but to me Armstrong has the experience but quite old school. McGurk has less experience than Tommy and messed the last interview panel around apparently. ...

Re: Players Awards
And that's what it is all about, turning up having a chat with the player, the football awards, basically having a right good night with those of a like mind, enjoy everyone who goes. That’s what I like and am looking forward to a chance to catch up with players, managers and management. Also home ...

Then they don’t commit to boost the budget. We’re going after the same people either way. The well is only so deep. [/quote We are just trying to help - out of the ten of us out tonight 8 would pay £200 and two thought a £150 if we are to take the fan model seriously (Super Les) then the fans I was...

If you look up the credentials of John Vickerman on official site i believe they are wanting the best person for the job I think this could end a banana skin. Re: Owners Club
Not if you market it properly, £20 is just to cheap even if you suggest we lose 500 members which I don’t think you will the 300 x £200 = £60k but sell it as DFC Owners Club.

Owners Club
Had a few beers tonight with friends in Hole in The Wall at an end of season round up as we always do with a number of DFCSG members and 500 club members. Rather than BTB why not set up an owners club and offer some incentives. At present there are approx 800 members I believe, instead of the £20 su...

Re: Female managers
I’d also be happy with a female manager if they were right for the job and there were lots of female choice but I just can’t see it happening. More of a PR exercise to divert the talk of sacking Tommy. Whoever comes in it’s going to be a bloody hard job but at least the club have the time to get the...

He will paid whatever his contract states he’s due. Not sure as fans we need to know the finer details. John Vickerman is an HR professional so he will play it by the book.

Re: Atmosphere today (Leaminngton)
It just had that end of season feel to the game. Having said that hospitality was rammed the guy from Texas was there with about 20 guests. Tommy got a round of applause when he came up but very telling no Directors around to wish him well.

Re: Time for Gray to finish the job.....
The DFCSG board would never have Gray back as I’ve said before they wanted Tommy out and they have got their wish, DJ just acts on their judgment. I’ve heard there’s a massively reduced budget coming so whoever takes over it’s going to be tough. May be we will see Chris Hardy or Daniel Green from H...

Re: Wright has left the building
He leaves the club in a decent state (certainly better than the former manager) and his legacy will be setting up the academy which will hopefully generate funds for the club for years to come and also maybe pick up a player or two once established. I don’t think the work that TW put into getting t...

Re: Darlo -Diary .We need significant change.
I’ve heard the DFCSG board is pressing for change so as the owner I can’t see him being here after Saturday so not DJ’s shout really. If he is going best to let him go before Saturday for his own self respect no point stringing it out. It absolutely is DJ's shout. He's the chief executive who runs ...

Re: Grange Road Sign
DFC should tell RC if its not up for the new season then the clubs advice is to advise fans not to use it, the loss of revenue would make a sign appear I’m sure. Just a thought but in the meantime see if we can put a marquee up at Blackwell Hotel.

Anyone know the update on this last thing I heard is that
few designs have been done but it’s all gone quiet. It should really be in place for next season.

Re: TW - Learning His Trade
Personally I would like to see Tommy & Alan staying for next season, it’s take time to develop a team and I believe the team is all gelling together. If he goes there will be the dismantling of the current squad. Plus there’s all the work at the Academy which is going from strength to strength. A go...

That’s great news, really like Trotman. I expect TW to be here next season as Trots wouldn’t have signed if Tommy was moving on and would have found a club more local to him.
