Re: Ainge signs for Darlo
As I’ve written many times before, I hope we sign a genuine left winger to maximise our supply to our forwards, including Syers, whom are all excellent aerially. Caton could be that man if only he could replicate his blistering performance at Leamington But he barely ever looks like repeating that....

One of the best strikers in the league you say. Changed your tune from when he was first linked with a move to the club.

Re: Joe Wheatley
So no Joe Wheatley today which is concerning - according to reports he was "rested". I wonder if he has turned down a new deal or something along those lines - shame if that is so - a win against Tamworth and North Ferriby, which are two very winnable games and we could be on the verge of the playo...

Re: Curtis Edwards
Amazed at this. Admittedly I only seen him the once when we had our arses handed to us by Ramsbottom back in Evo Stik days, the same season they ultimately beat us in the play-offs from memory. The lad was utterly over-run in midfield that night. It just shows what can happen I suppose.

Re: From the Echo Wright attempts to bring new signings
Well he was at clubs at a higher level for some of that time for starters. I really don’t think we could hope to sign a forward with greater pedigree than Styche given the position we’re currently in. I’d take him all day long but would question whether he would be willing to make the move. Out of c...

Re: Most Expensive Darlington Player
No idea but do we get a kickback on this transfer? Something to do with aiding the development of a player. Pretty sure something like this happened before. Only applies in the case of international transfers, where 5% of fee can be claimed as compensation by clubs the player was at between the age...

Think long and hard about the events of 5 years ago. The fact that anyone would entertain this fucker in any capacity let alone give consideration towards an investment proposition into DFC genuinely amazes me. Showed his true colours by the way he handled matters in 2012 - don't give him the satisf...

Re: Best Striker For Darlington
What Spyman says for me... Funny though as I am equally fond of some of our more terrible forward lines. In a short few years from the goal scoring prowess of Gabbiadini and Nogan we had the immense mobility of John Williams partnered with Barry Conlon. Surely you're thinking of Duffield rather tha...

Re: First Teamers Playing in the Reserves
Great - another midfielder...we're a bit thin on the ground with them :) Could do with a Nowakowski type deep to cut down on the number of counter attack goals. Could do with a taller, quicker and more controlled Falkingham to win the ball legally and start off attacks. This account surely has to b...

Mike Dean I think from memory.
Holsgrove I think was brought in at the end of the season (from Scotland?) and only made a handful of appearances in centre mid.
No idea on the third one.

I could be wrong but I think it was Portas last season and Thompson the year previous to that. Can't remember the Northern League season, Gary Brown perhaps?theoriginalfatcat wrote:Which players have won this award over the previous three seasons?

Think it's normal not of any move to a new job frankly. If you are not doing what you think you are renowned for you will feel that you should be doing that. If you are brought into a role to restructure a department. Getting the approval for the new structure or target operating model approval wil...

Re: Worst weather you've ever seen Darlo play in?
Doncaster away at the old Belle Vue ground about 12 years ago. I distinctly remember a small van being blown off the A19 and into a ditch directly in front of us on the way down. Needless to say the wind never subsided and what ensued was absolute comedy. Shots being fired in from the centre circle ...
