Re: Democracy under threat.

Pete, can that in any way be worse than being half in and half out with no way of ending the mess. Also no vote on anything going on? Yes bumping out with no deal will hurt initially, but I tell you what, and this is just 1 example, The Germans will be crapping themselves at losing our car imports....

Re: Democracy under threat.

I believe and still do that we should come out without a deal in place, the longer it takes the more remainers will think they have a chance to turn it round, come out now and stop giving remainers hope of a life line that just isn't there, the vote was to leave end of, democracy rules. Without a d...

Re: Democracy under threat.

Because parts of it have already come into force but the "nasty" bits were staggered and come into effect next year If you’re referring to the long Facebook message listing things supposedly happening in 2020 and 2022, this has already been de-bunked as rubbish by Steve Peers, professor of EU law h...

Democracy under threat.

Pete, I am virtually on my knees asking for a no deal leave. I always wanted out as I believed the EU to be undemocratic and heavily loaded towards some countries to the detriment of others. Anyone wishing to query my reasons for being desperate to escape now should simply read the treaty of Lisbon...

Got to give special mention to those 15 fans who added equivalent of a year's membership as a donation - hats off to you all!

And if anyone wants to add a donation (VAT-free) of any size for the club, it can be done here:

Yet another TW tactical master class. Trying to see out a game and you take of Kneeshaw who was playing well and you change a CM for a LW. When will he actually learn anything? You could as easily lay the blame at strikers who didn’t score when 1-0 up and then it would have been academic Sent from ...

Re: B T B Email

Until we the owners of the club alter the articles of association on 15% shareholder, no one is likely to show interest, I think should it be changed then it would be more attractive to an investor, if no investors come forward. we stay at status quo. As is, nothing changes no harm done, and at lea...

I can see us approaching a situation where income will not even cover the general expenses of running the Club (ie: the costs other than wages for playing and coaching staff). A quick look at the last few sets of accounts shows that the costs other than playing and coaching staff were: 2016 £252k, ...

Intend on increasing mine slightly and I don't have that much/any belief in Wright. I just don't believe we should stop funding our club. That’s my attitude. I think we need to look past at who is in charge - I know it’s not always easy but ultimately we have to put our trust in those we have voted...

Unfortunately it’s the same people stepping up to the plate each time my feeling is we don’t have the numbers and finance to take us to the next level both in development and playing budget. Everyone has done a fantastic job but we need to be realistic and discussing now what to do in the future. U...

It’s getting to the time of year again where the club will be asking the fans to invest in the budget for next season, with crowds dropping it’ll be up to us to supplement the budget. Given last years recruitment I don’t have faith that TW can spent it wisely enough and I imagine a lot of people fe...

Re: The 300k debt. I assume I'm one of the 'creditors' having bought community shares in the stand extension. However, I'm not expecting nor particularly wanting to have this money repaid. Will there be the choice to 'gift' this to the club eventually? It was certainly something that we discussed w...

Re: Post AGM update.

It does feel like we're just kicking the can down the road a little. I'd prefer we move away from the 500 club model. I'm not sure I have a solution, but we can't just keep gambling for short term gain. It was probably right at the time, but i'm not entirely sure the one year extension was the righ...

And there was no dodgy data on the remain side? Emergency Budget the week after a Leave vote as the prime example. If you are going to quote dodgy data, at least quote both sides. Also, I've still never heard remainer saying what will happen when those nations around the fringes start dropping out?...

Re: Democracy under threat.

I thought there was something about further devolution of power from Westminster. That is beside the point anyway - and you know it is - the bit I was questioning was whether a referendum has to be a 2 way response or can it be 3? Take is there is only precedent for 2. In which case the referendum ...
