Re: BM Alternatives

One thing is clear unless we have a very wealthy fan with deep pockets (it hasn't happened yet) then it's up to ALL the fans to dig deep as continual fan funding is key for us to keep going. My worry is that some fans who brought the 500 club tickets thing the job is done, far from it.

Re: BM Alternatives

[quote="Robbie Painter"]Of course there is another option that everyone is overlooking and that has been utilised by clubs at our level of football - a commercial loan advanced by our council to enable club to build own ground. FC United & Stockport County have both benefited from this in the past y...

Good to see the DFCSG commenting as i would imagine they represent the interests of majority of fans. Whatever happens at BM as a club we have never been stronger but you are always going to get moaning nutters who never offer anything more than criticism.

Re: GET in free days

When back in the town we need to engage the next generation in a big way. Free entry to under 16s for 5 set games a season would be a start, with or without adults. Or £1 entry for kids. Take the small financial hit now to benefit in 5-10 years time. Really well put, getting the youngsters in now i...

This result will effect so many things, crowds next season, playing budget, season ticket sales, never mind funding to get us back in Darlo - really pissed off tonight.

We were very poor tonight, also I reckon we will be hit with a fine for the small minority of idiotic fans who need to grow up. Rams players should have gone straight off and come for applause later.

I've heard DBC are already in talks to put in place a resident parking system, certainly won't help in my opinion having parking all the way back to the town centre.

So if we don't raise the 50 grand...what happens? We cease to exist. There are probably some options to explore before we get to that point though. It's actually 100k we are aiming for but half of would see us ok for now. What I think is really important is that all of us on Uncovered and other har...

Re: Short Term Future

Reading the Echo it seems that the 1883 square knot pitch is aimed at the more affluent fan and will go to paying off debt and keeping the club alive. The CICs Back2Darlo is simply to fund the redevelopment of Blackwell Meadows. Makes sense I suppose, if they get 10 business men to lob £5k a piece i...

Re: Merged "Back to Darlo" Threads

There's 800 people in the CIC and I suspect most of them are not keen in donating just to pay debt off. The Back to Darlo enables the normal fan without much spare cash to contribute as little as a £1, I suspect MJ will be looking for substantially more from a number of investors. Can't see why both...
