He’s an over the hill wage thief that Gowling spunked the budget on. That’s the issueDarlopartisan wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2024 7:51 pmDoes this work in our favour as regards recruitment, judging by the team selection, without a shadow of a doubt, again no Asana , would be good for to know what the score is with him.

If correct what has changed his mind? Large fee and or wages? Just curious not putting the potential signing down or anything.

Re: v Tamworth
Of course we are not going to give in but let’s be realistic here, we probably need to win 10 out of 19 games. We don't need 30 points. We need 8 wins and then some draws along the way. Just as hard to see it happening mind, not sure we are able to be unbeaten never mind win. Can't help but feel we...

Re: Who next?
Yep if Fenton is on our radar he will also now be on Spendy's radar as well. Possibly even Shield's radar again. Same with Watson who is my pick. He may even end up on Hartlepool's radar. We've double fucked this up, firstly by turning down quality applicants for Howling, secondly by taking too lon...

And Spenny have now got shot of Dickman. Wonder if they've got Fenton lined up already. I'm afraid skint and probably relegated Darlo are maybe at the end of the queue. It's looking like we had our big chance and a clear run at the managerial market when we sacked AA. Now the water is muddied. I'm ...

Re: How is this being paid for?
The danger of taking MG on a short term free deal is that it could prevent us from employing a better long term solution.
However, I think we’re fucked this season regardless of who comes in, so taking MG and resetting in summer may be the best thing to do.

Don’t worry Martin Gray says he’ll work for free…that’ll help IF this is true I don’t see that we have any choice tbh. Beggars can’t be choosers If it is a free deal then it’s a no brainier, regardless of previous shithousery. I’d be interested in knowing if there is any survival bonus in this “fre...

Re: How is this being paid for?
That’s a bit of a circular argument, if those in charge were infallible they wouldn’t have given Armstrong his contract (or Gowling) in the first place, and I think It’s reasonable to question (politely) the impact of this on the financial situation at the club While I don’t think they are to use y...

It doesn’t look likely. A statement has come out announcing Rose as being in temporary charge for Saturday.Darlo_Pete wrote: ↑Fri Dec 29, 2023 7:55 amSurely a decision will be made in advance of 2 crucial games over the weekend?
I expect the departures at both South Shields and Blyth will complicate the managerial search.

If it’s Hodgy we may as well turn the lights off on this season now. I would like to have him in as a club ambassador type, but not the manager.

Only problem is where do we get the money to even pay the binman if he wanted the job never mind all these names that people are bandying about We don’t really have much choice in paying. What’s the alternative? Danny Rose?? No thanks. Gray may be a less expensive option. He’s been out of the game ...

Julio Arca and assistant Tommy Miller just been sacked at South Shields. Anyone fancy them? No thanks Why don’t you think they would be suitable? I may be wrong, but I don’t think Arca has managed a relegation scrap or improved a club which is massively underperforming. He got SS up last season, wh...

So a guy who has been out of management for 5 years is the best we can hope for? or a guy out of management for 20 years? Really? Has Gray ever successfully fought relegation? Or just been a decent manager when having the biggest budget to work with? We are what, 7 points off safety. We apparently ...

Excellent. Correct decision. Now back it up with the correct appointment.
I’d like the board to release a statement on the clubs financial position due to this.

No questions, no excuses - put him out tonight. I wouldn’t even let him on the bus home.
DJ needs to rectify a series of dreadful decisions otherwise he can go too.

Going into the weekend game with genuine confidence. We should win this one. And we need to. The next 11 look really tough. 9 of the 11 games are against teams in the current top 10, and the other two are tricky away games against relegation rivals.

:) What else would you call it when your job takes you to the other end of the country? Quite a few of our squad are "working away from home" when they play at home.
