Re: Melvin Minter
Great to have a keeper who can come and claim crosses it seems a while since we had someone who can do that well. Definitely eases the pressure on the defence to know you have a keeper who will do that. Minter certainly has the physique to make a good goalkeeper but needs to know when to come out a...

Ok I'll bet you £20 that Hull KR will end up in the bottom 4 of the SL next season. Your on. My winnings can be sent direct to Downs syndrome sufferers. And in the unlikely event that I lose, I'll give my £20 to St Theresa's Hospice. COD it wasn't me that proposed the bet, I was just responding to ...

Yes!LoidLucan wrote: ↑Tue Dec 15, 2020 5:38 pmThe ruling doesn't surprise me given that the game hadn't finished and that no-one was to blame for the extremely rare incident that meant the game had to be abandoned. Would deciding the result of an unfinished game on the balance of probability really be the right thing to do?

Re: Boston Game To Be Replayed
My problem with this judgment is that it could set a precedent that could be exploited by an unscrupulous player. What is to stop a player trying to feign a had injury in order to get a game abandoned if his team is losing? It may seem a bit extreme but when the stakes are high some may be tempted ...

Re: Tyrone O’Neill
Interesting signing - very good player, and Campbell, Maguire, Charman and O'Neill is quite the collection of forwards. I've wondered how Armstrong was going to keep the first 3 happy when they're all fit, and he's complicated that now by adding in O'Neill! Here’s a theory...... It’s pretty much ac...

ahhhh great memories. it does show the desperation in general of your average football fan. the slightest glimmer of hope and potential millions to elevate your team to higher echelons. Pools currently going through this with RS. Mind, at least he did show up and buy a club. My thoughts too. Great ...

Re: Darlo v Boston Match Thread
I don't think saltmer did an awful lot wrong last night ,he was not at fault for either goal , He's a young keeper learning his trade, give him a bloody chance and back him , Instead of deriding him do the opposite build his confidence he will turn into a very good signing. You were obviously watch...

Re: Darlo v Boston Match Thread
Did you watch the match last night? Yep, and I didn’t see anything of concern. nothing warranting trying a brand new keeper anyway Fair enough you don’t have to agree. I agree with you Old Git. I’ve never been so certain since watching David Knight against Leeds about 10 years ago. Saltmer’s weakne...

The ball getting (obviously) stripped in the tackle is my bug bear! Surely the TMO could help the ref, the Leeds v Cas game was outrageous on that in the 1st half; all missed by the ref.

Tbh it had passed me by that there has been no keeper on the bench so far this season.
A bug bear of mine, there should always be a keeper on the bench!
Sensible move by Alun.........eventually!

Looks likely to be a Blackburn player by the end of the week, they have upped their offer for him. Not sure of the goalkeeper situation at Blackburn but I am sure he will provide competition/ cover for them at a very reasonable price. It was reported that Boro had turned down an initial offer of £2...

Re: New deal for, Donawa , Hatfield, Rivers, Holmes Hedley
Last season’s players we’re still waiting on: Laing, Storey, Galbraith, Watson, Liddle, Holness, Atkinson, Campbell, Reid, Wheatley. Could also include Lucas Bell, although he played very little part for the first team. If the bulk of those first 10 senior players sign, we probably only need two or...
