We don't have the most fans in Non-League, but we do have the best. Fantastic work, yet again

Re: Tonight’s Games
Spenny will still make the playoffs, they will beat Ferriby and Southport. How can you say that, when Spennymoor are in free fall? Well Ferriby and Southport are hardly pulling up trees in the results business. I just think Spenny will win Thursday and do the business Saturday and I will be surpris...

Brilliant! Lets just hope that the £4k wasn't a typo. Can see us hitting or getting very close to the 80k now

Re: 2017/18 Goal of the Season - Time to Vote
Some part of me is surprised that a goal under MG was picked as one of the six. Thompson's goal wins it for me, good finish and the significance of the goal, turning around our season.

Take this with a pinch of salt, but Football Web Pages now predicts York to finish 12th. https://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/national-league-north/league-table/predicted In order to finish above York now, we would need 4 points, Brackley to beat York and a 4 goal swing. If we win both, we would just ...

Re: Today's games, Saturday April 21st 2018
Looks like Blyth and York will definitely miss out on the play-offs and Spennymoor may now struggle as they have to pick up results now that Bradford PA have gone above them. A few months ago you'd have thought Blyth, York and Spennymoor were certs for the play-offs, how things have changed around....

Re: Joe Wheatley
Just look at the impact on Tamworth if losing Styche, they’re probably going to be relegated from being mid table. We could have been in the same position had he not come in and scored those early goals which breathed confidence throughout the team Tamworth officially down now. Form since Reece lef...

Luke Armstrong would be good to look at if he gets released from Boro, will probably go wherever Alun next hands his CV to thoughLoidLucan wrote:Some of the north-east academy releases are always worth a look. There are some gems like wheatley.

Re: Transfer targets for next season.
Obviously we would require outgoings given the projected reduction in playing budget to bring in two or three players, and the below is pure optimistic speculation; Aman Verma - Leicester based, played under TW at Corby, currently at relegated Tamworth, good player for this level. Adam Boyes - As Q...

Re: Joe Wheatley
There's rumours linking us with Foley over the summer. Hope not, much better options out there. Not too sure. Scored 7 goals this season for Spennymoor in limited appearances. Seems similar to Thompson in terms of pace and is equally as comfortable on his left or right. Scored a great goal against ...

I firmly believe that Caton can find the confidence that is missing with a full preseason to come under Tommy and Alan, he has had some bad luck with injuries since he came to us and at crucial times of just coming good, Which knocked his confidence and self belief. Let's give him a chance to prove...

Pledges flying in again after the 20k news .Someone just pledged £1300.Well done whoever you are.Can actually see us getting close to the 80k target now as the total so far is just short of £50,000.Unbelievable support. Usually spikes towards the end too, I can see us hitting it or coming very close

Surprised that no one has identified the potential complication of exposure of 3 key players (Heaton / Wheatley / Trotman) in the England C squad and V9 academy TV talent show. Would expect some bigger clubs to come in and give someone the chance of a professional career. Obviously if the contract ...

As always, Ginge's scribbles and thoughts (which must take some time and effort, updating from version to version) are much appreciated. I have had a gut feeling for some time that Alfreton are going down, with no logic to the thought whatsoever. Easy to be able to speculate like that when you are ...

We could be mathematically safe on Saturday.
If we beat FC United of Manchester, and either Tamworth fail to win at Kidderminster, or Alfreton lose at Brackley, we would be mathematically safe. If we win, Gainsborough would no longer be able to finish above us no matter their results. Therefore, only one of the sides mentioned would have to fa...
