Re: Hodgy

Relegation would be a disaster. Firstly, we would lose c£40k in central funding overnight as a result of dropping out of the National League. We would also play x2 less home league matches = less revenue. Also, as far as I am aware, there is no NPL streaming service. I’m not saying we make a lot fro...

Ah yes the announcement suggests a payment was overdue.

We will get it covered and it's already been provided for in the budget.

Re: Jacob Hazel

Whatever the merits or otherwise of the JG / DR (et al) as a management team I don't think that I have never seen any new/relatively new manager / coaching team at DFC get quite such a raw deal from any group of supporters from pretty much day 1 as this one  Its as if, for all their contacts/...

Re: Darlington V Rushall

I'm sure Rivers was also made available for transfer. Plus the fact we signed Rowe probably meant Griffiths days were numbered too. Correct re. Rivers. I was literally ridiculed when I said Gowling came in & placed a third of the squad on the transfer list. Good to see this information now come out...

Re: Darlington V Rushall

I know you don't like it 97 but Gowling is the manager. Managers pick their best team from the players they have available, depending on fitness, attitude, who the opposition is, all sorts of stuff. Players have to constantly work to try and keep form. Players get picked and dropped from time to ti...

Re: Darlington V Rushall

You obviously believe him. I and others do not let's leave it there. The Taylor and Sukar situations tell us that the manager says one thing but the grapevine (often coming from people who know) tells us something to the contrary. What situations? You mean dropping poorly performing players? And tr...

Quakers2009 is Darlofan97, can I claim my prize now? Why would I set-up two separate accounts? I don't know but there are striking similarities between his posts and yours, both in opinion, grammar and structure. I have also been accused of being Darlogramps & BM1883. I can’t be them all.

Re: The Squad Now

Then why didn’t Kaine leave over the summer when he first intimated that the travelling was not working for him? Because maybe it wasn't as easy as just leaving in the summer. We had a one year option on him, and it took a long while for it to be confirmed he was staying. Maybe there was ongoing ne...

Re: The Squad Now

As an example, if your manager has instructed you to press very high against Chorley, when you are 3-0 down at half-time, away from home, then that is a recipe for absolute carnage. They can’t drop in to two low blocks, as that would be going against manager’s instruction. The 8-0 was 70% on Gowlin...

Re: The Squad Now

Barnes was happy to stay though, and could have been retained. Same with Felix. Sorry - I know it's a minor detail in wider context, but I keep seeing it and saying it by return - Kaine intimated in the summer, and secondly when Josh arrived, that the distance/commute wasn't working for him anymore...

Re: The Squad Now

Thanks Alun! Alun isn’t to blame. He left us with: Taylor, Griffiths, Lawlor, Sukar, Hedley, Platt, Hatfield, Liddle, Felix, Hazel, Barnes, Rivers, Salkeld. All of those players are good enough for a mid-table NLN side. You could even stoop down to 15th or 16th if you believe my mid-table calibre c...

Re: Hazel and Sukar

So Hazel has his move lined up and now risks it falling through as now he’s still needed here. What a way to treat a player, tell him he’s not needed then expect him to risk missing out on his move…. Unbelievable. For a manager with a psychology degree, he has handled some of the players absolutely...

Re: The Squad Now

5 Josh signings in that 16, though one has gone back, making it 4. It literally does look a pretty strong line up on paper though - make it make sense. 8-0 man. The problem is deeper than the players themselves. Let's not be too hasty excusing these players. No one else but them goes on to that pit...

Sukar wasn’t in the squad when we lost 8-0. Nobody is saying Sukar is excellent, far from it. However, what people do recognise is that he is decent, still got time to develop further & picked up the Managers’ Player of the Year Award last season. He isn’t one Gowling should have been looking to ge...

Sukar whos been sacked off is now needed you mean! Could he be blamed if he didn't really give a toss and just went through the motions for a man who obviously doesn't want him around the club? By all accounts Sukar had a good game yesterday, sometimes a spell out of the team is good for a player. ...

There is contextualising how you feel, and then there is making a clear statement that is very blatantly untrue to make you sound a bit better than you actually are. Making yourself sound better than you are? I guess I am not convinced any right minded individual would see the aftermath of an 8-0 d...

He is a Director of the SG, asking the Boards of both the SG & the Club a question, at a public fans forum - not a little weird, no? Re: Forum

I was very shocked & surprised to hear the Supporters Group Chair list a number of pitiful excuses for our 8-0 humiliation the other night.

That result & performance was unjustifiable. I was really disappointed to hear the Board make excuses for it and not condemn it as unacceptable.

Worrying.
