Re: Game off today

Without flapping not being able to play a saturday home match for comming up five months is a joke and would be a desaster if HP was our ground, but of course it's not our ground so as nice as the new stand is let's seriously look at finding a new home for next season either temporary out of town ma...

Re: Spennymoor vs Guisborough Latest

Bedlington had to put a defender in goal at home against Sunderland RCA on Saturday because Jack Norton never turned up. Anyone hear why that was? They got beat 3-2. My God, its anecdotes like this that remind you what a tin pot, bag-o-shite league this is  Its certainly does, It shocks me on ...

Re: Spennymoor vs Guisborough Latest

I was worried about Spennys games in hand and their impossible to beat tag, I think most team in this league have been frightened by them. They love being the big fish in the small pool, so one more year down here whilst we take the promotion they have been so frightened of will serve them right.

Re: shafted or not

It's not hysteria, it's curiosity. Here's how it is.... My best pal has had a very unlucky life with the girls. In and out of relationships, all looking rosy for a few years but then he's been badly let down. A couple of years ago he was in love with this Indian girl, they had a dirty weekend in Lo...

Re: shafted or not

Hang on we have not heard the CIC plans yet, the guys behind the CIC sound just the kind of people we need, add in some fan envovement maybe a fans advisory board and you get all of the legal and financial expertese with out the need to hire paid consultants. We will also need experts like these if ...

Re: The Negative Press

Why do we have so many fucking whingers following this club who do nothing but complain and whine but fail to put themselves forward to help. I know, half of them dont even have the bottle to outright criticise things they dont agree with, they just make sly digs towards volunteers doing more than ...

Re: The Negative Press

A positive spin and a smooth un-news worthy transition was within the gift of the CIC. They must have found 1883's affairs in such a bad state they felt they had to step in NOW. Even in these Politically correct times the CIC statement is hardly a endorsement of the 1883 running of the club.

Re: Statement from the club

Great news that the CIC is now in charge. But for 1883 to need a cash bail out of over 50k in only 12 months running the club is a sorry state of affairs, what were they thinking of running into financial difficulties so soon after "the rescue" I don't know but we move on.

Nice stats 8-) ....when I began reading I though it was going to be a spam, but I get your point. I also think along the same lines as you and thought we had moved on from day to day rebuilding of the football club and moved on to strategic plans and ground developments. But now from what little inf...

I m posting from the smart phone and should read the net more, but just looked on the 1883 website and read "the letter" not much in it but I can't say I have not revived the same info as others, this delutes my argument, still would like better communications all of this could have been a smooth tr...

Re: Denis Resigns

Lo, I'm in the CIC, the trust, on uncovered but I'm not getting any letter, so I'm just wondering how we ever ended up with a community club "owned" not by the many but the few. I like most thought we were creating a fans owned club, i like lots of others were not wanting any medals when we fund rai...

out of nowhere other “groups” were being recognised as shareholders and owners of DFC, ehh how did that happen loose groups with no constitution like Darlo Tykes, DAFTS get a say but the average fan doesn’t, and that has been the crooks of my 1883/board knocking, it has nothing to do with the peopl...

Re: 1883 board

I`m a tad confused, when were these decisions made? By whom? And why weren't the owners (us) consulted? I read this last night and deliberately did not comment as it looks like I`m stirring, but as to me its an important issue here is my two penith on “owned by the fans for the fans/ us ”. Just whe...

Humm, I think It maybe a bit of a tricky time, I know you were one of the people who stepped up to the mark during the rescue group days when there were very few of us. Re: Would it be such a bad thing?

Personally I think our aspirations have dropped far to low, for Christ sake we have 130 years of being, if not a professional football league club then at least a senior football club. I do fear we have picked up a few non league lovers and lost quite a few serious football league “boys” . I do hope...

Re: Possible new site?

Would a set up like Bradford PA`s be acceptable and affordable, it would suffice to NPL and give time to fund a football only ground on the next field, it would give a quick return home whilst fund raising for our own ground. http://bradfordpa.dnsupdate.co.uk/content/pages/horsfall-stadium.asp Or is...

Re: Possible new site?

Anyway I dont want to go on about hills, looking at Lol`s google earth link the Eastborne site would make the ideal Hub for DFC if we built on the old school football pitches over to the east of the running track. Money will be needed to do that though but with grants for a Sporting Hub and housing ...

Re: Possible new site?

Ted, there are gradients down both side of the track. The land is flat behind one goal. Gradients, hardly a hill the gradients are about a metre high and are from the earth works to form the track. not a hill that will need thousands of pounds to level. Come on Lone star you know the score, I also ...

Re: Possible new site?

Just because the site has a running track does not automatically mean that the ground must be built up around it. I'm at a loss why so much focus is on this or relatively minor facilities (in terms of the total cost) like existing floodlights. Well is all just Sunday morning speculation and chewing...
