New manager in place - Jummy Ginnelly from Barwell, southernleague central one of the national n/s feeders.

Re: Tommy's interview - seething

I'm not certain relegation will be a catastrophe, as long as we have a manager in place that can inspire the supporters. It might give us the breathing space to rebuild properly, and won't result automatically in a huge drop in income because you get so little from the league at this level anyway. ...

Re: Tommy's interview - seething

We seem to have a perfect storm: 1. A team engaged in a relegation battle - a relegation that could be a one way trip to a feeder league system where 4 leagues between them promote 6 teams. And a league where we will likely be outspent by a good number of clubs 2. At least some players who have lost...

Re: Tommy's interview - seething

It will be very difficult to impose a more disciplined regime having been seen as easy going/ soft touch. Far better to start as the strict disciplinarian and then when everyone knows where the authority lies and what the rules are you can ease off a bit.

Re: Tommy's interview - seething

We (me personally and many other posters on here) have funded a third of the playing budget for players who don't turn up to training. Say what you like about MG, this wouldn't have happened under him. I was a TW sympathiser before this, not any more. Sums it up for me. There will always be valid r...

Let's hope we don't get other clubs come sniffing round for players - we may not quite be in a 'fire sale' situation but I can imagine the club might have to seriously consider any offers.

Re: Resignation...

I can't for the life of me understand how anyone could believe that one half of the partnership that has led us to this desperate place would be the ideal one to take us forward. I suppose a meek, mild mannered assistant might just go along with a domineering boss even though he knew things were wr...

Re: Darlington v Hereford

Our squad is stretched. We need a couple of additions, surely we can manage that? Nope, can't afford it. Any additions will mean costs out run revenues. Only way is young kids on loan who clubs are willing to pay wages, but with that your not sure what you are getting and the owner club expects the...

Re: Eindhoven planning

We could do with a count up of how many are "actually" going, with a questionnaire thingy. PSV may organise some events / extras for us, if they knew significant numbers were due. I am surprised the club haven’t done something like this as yet... Maybe more a supporters group thing than the club? S...

Kings Lynn lose to Slough so does that mean we get Hereford?

Personally disappointed as Kings Lynn would have been my 'home in time for tea' fixture.

Hereford clearly retained or have re-established their fanbase after they went pop - 4,556 at their home game yesterday. Could be very competitive next season.

A forensic dissection of Gray and his arrogant, dismissive attitude of everyone who paid for the ladder for him to climb and doesn't' share his view that money and lots of it is the only way to achive success. I find it hard to believe that a football club, which is a limited company and therefore h...

At this level do we have to feed visiting directors and officials? If so I suppose it makes sense to do something that can sit and stew until required with a minimum of intervention.

Although a Taylors pie, mushy peas and gravy might have been more culturally relevant.

I'm in for 1995... or 1938..... http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Darlington/Darlington.htm 1984 for me. For one season we not only looked a bit like Read Madrid, but played like them (a bit). I'm sure in the early sixties after we got floodlights that we used to play in all white for home ...

Be interesting to see how they fit a sponsor's logo into the relatively thin hoops without completely messing up the effect. Assuming we have a shirt sponsor of course.

Voted 5 - which according to Quakerz means I know what I'm talking about.

Obviously a clash player, I like how he comes back to help the defence, not many strikers will do that. Now that the York game is over and done with we (i.e. This board) can forget about Gray - he really is a yesterday man as far as our club is concerned. In fact the only thing that happens now to Gray/York that I'm interested in is their results against our relegation rivals - hopefully they will win...
