He would be a great addition to Darlo. He creates some fantastic openings with his passes and his free kick taking is outstanding.
He will be sadly missed at Spennymoor, but has not been a regular starter this season and he understandably wants game time

Re: Average attendance when back in Darlo
It will be interesting what crowd settles down to when the move is no longer a novelty. I would expect initial gates to be near capacity but then will settle down to a more consistent figure. The comparisons to previous crowds is interesting. By the time the club are back in Darlington it will be 3 ...

Don't durham only have one (admittedly big) stand and they were in NPL recently?

Re: Reed
if he's joined a league club, its certainly worked for him, if not for Darlo.
However, it will be good for Darlo as it shows prospective players that playing for Darlo puts them in the window for league clubs. This must be an attraction for ambitious players

.... ... I understand once we're at a certain level we can drop the 1883 from our name anyway. I don't think it is affected by the level you are at. Its an FA decision and that would cover the club no matter what level they are at. Payment of the debts of the previous regime is the issue as I under...

Its going to be hard for the players on both sides to go at it again in the replay 36 hours or so after finish of today's game. No time to recover from knocks etc.

Btw for what it's worth whilst we wait. I have been advised that the rule that is in place now (re forfeited game) were done so as a result of the Frank Sinclair/Colwyn Bay incident. Effectively to rule out a replay being the outcome in the future. That was an FA Cup game was it not? The considerat...

Re: Unbelievable!!!
Unbelievable!!! Correct use of the word! The only answer is that the Lino is colourblind or very, very confused. He thinks the keeper or the last defender is an attacking player! Colour blind or just blind. One team is in stripes and one not! It is a very strange decision. What was the point of giv...

Be interesting to see who plays on friday/sat/sunday IF we both get through to 1st qual rnd as we are both at home. Doesn't it go on league standings? If it does I'd be annoyed if I was a Bishop fan. I always understood it went on who was drawn first out of the hat. Potentially 2 big games at HP th...

Seriously Spen. Netball might suit you better. This has nothing to do with swearing/challenging decisions. That is part and parcel of the game and it is great - it shows people care and it means something to them. Actually, I think you will find it is not part of the game. The aim of the game is to...

Think you will find that MG was aiming the comment at the original referee and linesman, 1 of whom wandered around on the pitch like a lost soul for 10 minutes. Sorry but his leg injury should not have had a numbing effect on his brain, and understanding/application of the rules. Once Warrington ob...

Re: Warrington Excuses
Warrington as a club should face severe punishment, and in turn deal with the Manager who brought about these events, however what of the referee? How will he be dealt with? From what I have read and heard he was unclear on the rules. Had he been so then surely there would not have been a need for ...

Echo is mainly a darlo and south durham paper - but reaches to Northumberland and to around thirsk and Scarborough. Sells in total around 30,000 copies a day - but like almost all regional papers sales have been in steady decline. I didn't realise its circulation was so low now! A victim of the int...

For a supposedly clever legal person seems to have a chronic lack of understanding of rules. The rule is the game must be played with 2 officials. Let's look back at a previous post by Divas, where he has copied up said rule 15.3 (Page 531 of the Handbook) In the event of any of the Match Officials...

I can see both sides of this debate. Wealdstone amongst others in London area use this scheme. On a separate note I like the way Middlesbrough's take the credit for the action of Darlo board Mark Ellis, Chief Operating Officer for Middlesbrough FC, said: “We are always keen to build strong relations...

I'm in favour of them. And it would allow the site to be used a lot more. However I don't think you could have an artificial pitch and play both rugby and football on it. The pitch markings would probably restrict it. Can't think of a groundshare on an artificial pitch. They are very expensive. And...

Only the first teams for both codes will use the main pitch. So that's 32 league matches + cup and friendlies per season. I didn't realise they played both codes?
