The FA say it is "very likely" Darlington will have to change their name. Matter to be discussed with Durham FA once the club are affiliated

Well now you know how I feel when people say Shildon only has 2 turnstiles and there isn't enough adequate car parking spaces.

Re: Sean Gregan, Tony Norman and Harry Dunn
Good call all round - Martin Gray has a coaching academy and it seems he is drawing on all the resources he has available. Lets hope Mr Gregan can pull on a pair of boots for us! It will be interesting to hear the details of this - hopefully there will be a press conference very soon? Press release...

Re: Short list
We will see. There are still plenty of quality players to choose from mind. Darlofan97. How confident are you that the Shildon players listed will NOT be on contracts. For a Shildon fan you seem very keen to offload a lot of their players to Darlo. As of 31st March, all players listed were not on c...

Re: Martin Gray...
Could well be Atkinson has spoken to Spenny, who made the announcement, Echo put 2 and 2 together and guessed Gray - which was obvious to all. Although on the day Gray/Atkinson got the call to say they got the job and accepted it, the right thing to do from my view was then to call the remaining ca...

1883 weren't in the wrong today. The new manager stories were leaked by Spennymoor Town and the Northern Echo. The new manager was scheduled to be announced tomorrow. I'm sure that 1883 would have contacted the unsuccessful candidates before the new manager was announced. Whilst we can blame Spenny...

If we don't raise the £130k needed? Or the £70k needed by the end of the month? Don't get me wrong, I'm not negative and I think we'll reach the target but it's just out of curiosity.

McReady is already contracted for next season and yes, I would hope that Martin Gray would look into signing those players.pb1991 wrote:Not read all of thread so not sure

What about Scott Pocklington for goalie? Aycliffe player and lad, one of the best in the Northern League? Bit fat and lazy and he has a bad attitude but that can be worked on. Told this by someone who knows him. Yep, beefy round the middle and thought he was god's gift last time i played against hi...

Regarding the person who said that they heard that Tony Norman would be a coach. You might be correct. He works with Martin and Brian at the Martin Gray Football Academy.

scored 4 against Whitley Bay the other week Two pens and a couple of goalie howlers if I'm not mistaken mind you. He showed decent flashes with us, but hasn't managed to break in to West Aucklands team permanently. (yes I know he was cup tied for the Vase) Not saying he's bad, but wouldn't be sure ...
