Re: Burn Gone
It's really sad that the signing of a Darlington lad should have turned into this awful saga. Whatever the rights and wrongs, thank God it has finally been brought to an end. We should not be offering 2 year contracts to anybody, ok Galbraith and Thommo are exceptions but this has been worse than t...

Re: New signing
You already seem to have clarity though. Not everyone is in the same boat. I'm not worried about turning down a move elsewhere - not every move is right for someone. I'm interested in whether he is making himself unpickable, as you are suggesting, or is merely not being picked. There's a difference.

Re: New signing
Yep. Burn could really want to play but we want him off the wage bill and are forcing him out effectively. That he hasn’t found anywhere else is perhaps unfortunate but I wouldn’t expect him to quit otherwise. Nobody knows the reason and the reason I reference the Richards article is that it’s not ...

Re: New signing
No-one asked for a statement from the board. However, do you know for a fact that it is Burn's unwillingness to play that is behind his omission or is it an attempt to get him to leave early.

Re: New signing
At the moment, by not saying anything, the inference being taken is that Burn is an unfit, uninterested parasite, stealing a wage doing very little. Perhaps the silence speaks a thousand words. As an owner, perhaps it's not unreasonable to know why one of your most expensive assets is sitting idle w...

Re: New signing
I’d recommend listening to his interview on the website. He sounds immensely frustrated, understandably so. Some have been quick to criticise because of our slow start, but the effect of the injuries must be considered because it’s clearly having a big impact. He also says he’s 70-80% there with th...

Re: Josh Heaton
For me, we don't use his pace enough. He makes any number of runs across the backlines, where a through ball would put him clear, only for our midfielders to choose the ball out to the wing instead.

Re: Josh Heaton
We can't afford for them to miss out Saturday. I'd rather they missed out the following league game. Don't understand your logic. We are only 5 points clear of Bradford PA who have better form than us over the last 5 games. You would rather we won a Cup game and lose a few more players who aggregat...

Re: Josh Heaton
We cant afford not to have the money from a cup run, a good run would give AA budget to play with. Without that he will have to run with what we have. A must win game really, I would not take the chance by leaving first teamers out unless they are carrying knocks already. We can't afford to get rel...

Re: Josh Heaton
We're not that Blyth team though. Just because it happened once for Armstrong doesn't make it a certainty it's going to happen again. And we don't have a Maguire. Blyth didn't have a Thompson or a Hatfield. I'd argue that Maguire was more integral to that Blyth team finishing where they did. If the...

Re: Josh Heaton
I fear the answer may be to risk a scratch team in the fa Cup and try to get some players fit over the next two weeks. Absolutely not. The league season is over as far as play-offs are concerned, and I'm not too worried about relegation (at the moment). What we desperately need is an influx of cash...

Re: Josh Heaton
Perhaps AA could clarify whether Burn has shown any interest or not in getting fit and playing. At least then we'd know whether all these comments are based on some evidence, or just baseless slagging. Always had a mistake in him when he played last season, but then, so have all those who've played ...

Re: Ben Hedley
It depends who is available within budget I guess. Exactly - you can't just magic up an experienced right back within budget at short notice. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk Who said experienced. We've signed a not very experienced midfielder to play there. It would also let Liddle play in his ...

Re: Ben Hedley
If you are going to sign a right back, sign a right back. Holness is a midfielder who showed he could probably fill in at right back - why sign another? Will he get in to our midfield when Liddle fit for example? If not, then not sure I see the reasoning. The Hedley signing was set up before Holnes...

Re: King’s Lynn
We were OK in the first half - maybe the better side - but woeful in the second half in which we made our customary defensive slips and were generally second best all over the field. AA needs a rethink and get Galbraith in as soon as poss. So much for team bonding with an overnight stay. We did loo...

Because we had a lot of the ball doesn't make us comfortably the better team. They set up to give us a lot of the ball. For eighty minutes we did little with it, save a couple of set pieces.

They deserved the win. Had a game plan and applied it well. They stopped Rivers and Thommo, and we ran out of ideas until the gung ho last 10 minutes.
