Re: Gateshead game...

I’ve finished work and off to sample BM hospitality I’ve heard there’s big improvements on last year. After last Saturdays game let’s hope we get back on track.

Good shout Ghost. Blyth last season was 1680 in a very similar midweek game against local opposition at the beginning of the season. I can see at least that. I reckon 1750
It’s the main holiday period so with 1750 I’m glad your not in charge of accounts😜

Re: Gateshead game...

Liddle's interview was excellent, shows real passion, which we lacked last year. Also note that he said they were training on Monday night, where I think previously if there was mid week game they did not train before hand. Looks like we have a really professional group now both management and play...

Re: David Johnson's interview

Lots of positives in that interview. BM or SV? if we are paying the same rent but can make more out of commercial then SV is a no brainer plus should bring families back as they can actually see. I’ve also heard a rumour there is a potential investor interested which should surprise many not sure if...

Re: Josh Heaton

My guess he will be back and likely take a lower wage than before. Confidence likely low after St Mirren with few games so get him back fit firing on all cylinders and you never know we might sell him on again. Always thought he was destined for higher level football.

As I mentioned in the thread earlier after speaking to John Tempest last season he parked his car daily in the close season so to speak to make sure the Pitch was up to scratch. After speaking to DRFC there’s no one present daily anymore checking on the daily issues, not a Critiscim but there appear...

Re: BM - Surface

Chatting to a DRFC member last night in town, about £8k has been spent in the close season on the pitch and DFC pay 50% of that. If the pitch isn’t right then we should complain to whoever from DFC oversees the work. Matty has gone but not for the reasons in this thread apparently. TBH I think we ne...

Re: BM - Surface

Last few seasons every time I went down to BM to look at pitch, John Tempest always seemed to be around, on asking him do you live here one of the reasons he said was to check on the pitch during pre season, having been down today today it doesn’t look great after the Motherwell game, apparently Mat...

Re: BM - Surface

I chatted with Chris Stockdale at the end of lst season and he indicated pitch costs were shared and that work would be done done May/June ready for pre season matches. With lots of rain these last few months it should be better than ever, TBH I didn’t really focus on the pitch on Saturday but be in...

Re: New signings and outgoings

If Trotman goes and we successfully move on Burn and Glover, then the only first team players remaining would be Thompson, Wheatley and Galbraith! This really highlights what a cobbled together mess that Wright made of his signings, so much so that AA needed to have a complete and utter clear out. ...

Re: New signings and outgoings

We are I’ve heard right against the budget so don’t expect any miracle forward coming in. AA can work wonders with his players and bring the best out of them but no disrespect to Blyth the anticipation of DFC fans is a whole other league, let’s hope he can produce the goods this time round.

Re: Hospitality

Everyone is making a massive assumption that hospitality @ £45 next season is identical to hospitality last season. I am sure the club received feedback on the food last season. FWIW I was on a stag do with half the rugby first team and they were saying that the food was being looked at from their ...

Re: Hospitality

Food has improved towards end of last season. With a near 30% rise it sounds like they have sorted out a better offering, hopefully someone from the club can confirm it either way, if not then £45 is not something I’ll be buying anymore. As a fan funded club who actually decides on pricing as a regu...

Hospitality

As a regular in hospitality, £45 per match seems very high. The food has got better last season but can anyone from the club/Hospitality confirm that the menu offering has been dramatically redesigned if not £45 imo is taking the piss particular after DJs comments at the recent forum on the food off...

Re: What is clear....

is that we have been over paying for players (on wages and of course travel) and paying above the market rate. Alun seems more savvy and knows what a player should be paid in this league - all these players that have moved from Blyth have presumed moved to be on similar money at Darlo. I am wonderi...

With the change of the council to NOC the Sporting Village is still been fully supported and plans are in place whether we are involved or not to make it work.
