Re: Will Darlo go for the hybrid model?

Chatting to someone on Wednesday who’s knows, the £100k windfall will quickly disappear after paying of people who have loaned the club money he reckons they will likely make £20-£30k but should then be debt free which is a good thing. All the creditors know we have made money so they will no doubt ...

Re: Flares /pyrotechnics

It’s up to theClub to pay for competent stewards for a game like this they should have maximised provision bearing in mind the money we have accumulated. . I’m not sure who decides amount of stewards but I’ve heard it’s the chair of DFCSG who signs it off. Chatting to JS at least there was no runnin...

Re: Darlington V Walsall Match Thread

Good first half poorer second half however they are full time and it does make a difference. Personally not disappointed it was very good atmosphere in hospitality al credit ti Craig Morley and his team. Also someone mentioned DJ mentioned on BT Sports we had earned £100k from cup run which is massi...

Re: Gates

The DFCSG need to crack on with a decision as they/we are the owners. If the plan is to get back to the league then the Arena is a sensible option as BM will take to much money to develop it to FL standard plus we only have 15 years left there on the license. If the ambition isn’t there then BM will...

Let’s just get behind the lads with some decent songs.
So looking forward to this one it’s hard to concentrate at work.

Re: Sold out?

This really is a non story it’s not like it’s the Champions League Final. It’s all probably a wind up anyway and at the end of the day it’s on the TV. Great to see a full house, if we win I doubt there will be any complaints, lose badly I can here the criticisms of sight lines already, oh to back at...

I think I saw a £100k figure on here brought in through the cup run so more than enough for Alan to strengthen the team I would have thought.

Re: Be sure to get a ticket

I’m in hospitality which is totally full I’ve been told, that’s the first time this season. TBH when it’s that full it’s oftern difficult to see from the balcony. However who cares for this game as atmosphere should be cracking.

Is the gate money split for the replay?
If not it could be a tidy sum with the TV money.

Rob, it’s a shame there aren’t any woman on the the board which in today’s society is not good. Is that due to no females have applied?

Re: Walsall V Darlington FA Cup First Round Proper

It will certainly make a huge dent in the debt and outstanding loans. Plus if we win reply it could be another bumper pay day which will be superb for the club finances finally putting us on an even keel.

Re: Walsall V Darlington FA Cup First Round Proper

The count down 4 days to go 👍 Still time to do a deal on Liam Connell, & he did not play for South Shields in previous FA cup games so not cuptied👍 Be great if we could get Connell but I’ve heard it’s unlikely. I’m sure AA is doing all he can to get the strongest team out, win this and it will make...

Re: FA Cup draw - Darlo Away to Walsall

Are we still entertaining the notion that Blackwell Meadows isn't absolutely rubbish for anything more than our standard league crowd? A big away crowd is always a cracking atmosphere, especially when the home crowd aren't arsed and are easily drowned out. We're not capable of a big home crowd. Our...

Re: Tamworth V Darlington Match Thread

If we get a big home game then the Arena should be considered if possible. I’m talking Sunderland or Hartlepool level. Not possible It is possible, you can’t move purely for financial reasons but your can for safety reasons. With a large following from say a Sunderland, Ipswich etc I believe you ha...

Tamworth aren't pushovers we need to work hard make sure mistakes are kept to a minimum and put our chances away when they present themselves, play to our strengths with commitment high tempo and accuracy, if we do those right we should come away with the win. Onwards and upwards with Darlington FC...

I didn’t mention anything about Craig, personally I think he’s doing a great job you only have to look around the ground in terms of advertising and as a user of hospitality it’s really improved and I wish more would use it.

Fans forum needed

With John Woolnough gone I’ve heard the accounts are looking to be outsourced from Clive Owen who do the current pay role if this is true then it’s worrying as the DFCSG promised a tight hold of all finances as a fan owned club. It would be good to have an update on finances and where DFC are financ...
