Re: Marine Match thread...
It's an easy mistake to make. I rushed in to find darlofans radio not working on Saturday afternoon!! We rarely play on a Sunday to be fair. Trust me, Pete knows what he's doing. He loves baiting and trolling other people and this is one way he does it. No one can possibly be as clueless as he pret...

Re: Telford ~ Match thread
Disappointing result today. Certainly let down by a rush of blood. But hey over a season it happens. You can't look at these things in isolation as without him against Tamworth we could have conceded 5. In terms of other thoughts from today. Don't understand why we played 5 in midfield against a lo...

Re: Telford and Jim Willis
I remember the train trip to Telford, probably the only time we've had a football special to an away game, apart from trips to poolie and perhaps that cup game at Boro. Derby away 1967 in the League Cup. Still my favourite all time game. at the start of the Brian Clough / Peter Taylor era at Derby....

Re: Telford and Jim Willis
I remember going to Telford on Easter Monday (1990?), where the 'magnificent' Jim Willis broke his leg. I think David Cork scored late on and we won 1-0. Didn't Jim Willis move on with Brian Little to play at the highest level for Leicester City? I remember hearing the crack when Jimmy broke his le...

Re: Car parking at BM
This whole car parking problem is obviously a lot more of a concern than I appreciated. Our unfit, overweight, chain smoking supporters really need to be catered for better. The daunting prospect of a fifteen minute walk will have a dramatic effect on attendances. Our first priority is not increasin...

Re: BM latest pics..?
This is probably a stupid question, but... if long term we really need to sort the pipe problem, is it quite impossible to divert the damn thing round the pitch - I know it would probably be massively costly, but is there any technical reason why it can't be done? Even if we had the money we only h...

I think that now we have the reserve team we will get more younger players coming through in the next couple of years. That was a massive step for us recently. It will be essential if we get in to the Conference in the next few years.[/quote] Agree with your comments but I think you mean "Football L...

Thought he'd go to a higher level than that! I think you're underestimating just how good that the Northern League is. If it was any old step 5 league then you may have a point, but it isn't - it's the Northern League. Which as proven by one off cup shocks, is on a par or thereabouts with the level...

Pete, I don't know which games you've been to recently but we've had very strong starts against Nuneaton, Bradford and Lancaster but unfortunately we couldn't sustain it long enough to turn the advantage into goals. Totally agree, and end up hanging on to games because we are part time and having t...

Didn't see too much wrong with his keeping at Nuneaton.
And becoming more commanding in his box will come with time and experience. Of all our players I think he is the one with most potential to play at a higher level.

No he's not. It's a reductionist argument which ignores other factors (recourse from individuals involved, reputational damage) that mean it simply couldn't happen in the real world. It's a shame you've decided to follow a worthless troll like Spen and deliberately ignore the points I'm making. Sad...

I rather fear you may incur the wrath of Darlogramps.
Spelling 'years' correctly must be easier than spelling Giles , Gilles, or Gillies.

Following that comment, would it be true that winning performances don't effect gates and that no games are worth seeing until April? As a Darlo fan of over 50 years standing, I reckon the team needs runs of success to obtain more positive publicity, public interest and improve gates (e.g. in cup r...

Wish we would start Cartman playing off Beck Why??? Carts hasn't hit last season heights yet and I think Hardy deserves his place .
