Bet DFC will end up paying more than Man City do after their financial shenanigans. Imagine if they got chucked out of the league & had to start again say in NLN! A question in this week's Guardian column, The Knowledge https://www.theguardian.com/football/20 ... or-matches, reminded me of this piece of Uncovered comedy gold viewtopic.php?f=15&t=23609.

Genuine question, Pete - in what way? How has this bias manifested itself? I know very little about Darlington's local politics, having lived away for many, many years.

Regarding our Hyde connection - what about George Switzer who went there after Feethams and played in the 90's tie. He was one of Billy Mac's better buys - from Man U where he'd played in the legendary youth team with Scholes and co. and Robbie Savage. Yep, George Switzer indeed, not sure he was on...

To be fair, the FA Cup is not the money spinner it was when we got through to play Walsall a few years back. The FA cut the prize money in half due to Covid and it still hasn't gone back up anywhere close to where it was before. To make money you really need to get to the first round and get shown ...

From the dim and distant FA Cup past at Hyde the name Gavin Worboys comes to mind! Jeez, nearly 30 years ago, weather and I think plastic a pitch were awful. Seem to remember Darlo went 1-0 down but that might be my fading memory. Won 3-1 in R1. Worboys got 2, Slaven got the other. Went on to lose ...

You can add Fylde to the list their manager has resigned. Should never have been hired, painted flyde in a very bad light Like Fydle needed that to paint them in a bad light. Horrible, fake plastic club. Some interesting spelling of Fylde going on there. Makes a change from Flyde.
