I doubt it is the seats that raise the running costs per se (although they do need cleaning /replacing if worn). It is more that more likely that more seats means bigger concrete and steel infrastructures which do need substantial maintenance. Also having more seats also means more service faciltiie...

I never saw the offending FB posts but assume they were triggered by a (now removed) Twitter thread from a former director who really needs to just fook right off?

To say he is coming for a payday is utter drivel. The lad has just been promoted from L2 - if he wanted the money I am sure he could have earned antoher 1 year FT contract elsewhere. What he might be thinking is he can pair the wage from us with another venture he will be financially sound - I see n...

Re: Playoffs

I see York have just put in a counter suggestion (unsurprisingly) that those teams finishing 2nd in both NLN and NLS get promoted automatically, and the original intended 4 teams are relegated from the NL.

Have to say I think they have a decent case.

I think we'd need to specify which 'version' of said players we would take!

For example, Adam Reed looked a world beater before diving off to Blackburn. When he returned to looked like he had spent the time between in ballet school.

Consulting with fans across the country would be painstakingly slow and tell them nothing new. The shock findings woudl be: - Fans of clubs like Shields think we should find a way to complete the season; - Clubs like BPA are surprisingly content; - Everyone in between are torn between playing it out...

What bothered me was the fact that the police seem to be stationed outside at FT. They clearly were not instructed / arsed enough to go and assist the stewards in front of the Tin Shed.

I think the broader point is that the playoffs have not (externally at least) been mooted as a target. Only the standard pre-season enthusiasm got a few people forgetting the period of transition necessary and starting to dream of a top 7 challenge. The reality is that will take time and the injury-...

Why is it sad?

People are always likely to change their mind after such a pathetic performance. However I would suspect here it is more people being reminded of the reality outside our little 3-game bubble of false hope.

You obviously don’t come on here often then, I said ages ago I thought Wright’s time was up. Mind you if we win our last two games we end up on the same...

Well, aye, if you replaced him with De Gea then we'd probably be top half.

But to suggest any single player has cost us a playoff berth is madness. We are bang average / gash all over the pitch.

I assume that by 'improving' you are isolating the last two matches alone? What other possible metric coudl you be using to suggest that he is getting better as a manager?

Those determined to keep Wright for next season seem to be basing it one thing: hope.

Forgive me for finding the above unconvincing. I see little evidence of TW developing as a manager. Some of the upturns in his management of us seem to have been forced by things like injuries rather than judgment, and his tactical naivety is at time staggering. Also, how confident are we giving TW ...

So what’s AW’s role in all this ? He was a very good defender, he has the knowledge he’s got to know what needs doing. He clearly adds bot all. Putting the unnecessary level of nit picking going on in this thread to one side, I want to throw my hat in the ring as very much pro-Styche, and in many ways it surprises me how quickly people forget his goals-to-game ration and how pivotal that was in reigniting last season for us. As said above, ...
