Re: DFC Board very quiet on the Fundraising
Judging by the facebook post today, the board have realised the need to publicise the push to increase funding before the deadline. It's also pretty clear from the post that sponsorship for the stand and extra funding from commercial sources has not materialised. I'm beginning to think Johnson has g...

Re: Cartman
Don't know how much of that is true, but it is a bit concerning that Johsnon seems to have gone a bit quiet recently (has he?). New sponsors and investors don't seem to have appeared, although that doesn't mean no news is bad news of course.

Re: You Tube/web site revenue
Perhaps, Yarblokos, you could help with the filming and editing then you will get to see them before anyone? We seemed to be doing OK at filming and editing last season, they'd be up online the same day. It just seems like we are so determined to piss off the Vanarama league that we' don't care tha...

Re: You Tube/web site revenue
Yarblockos I suspect yerbollocks like the penny have not dropped yet. I'll write this slowly so you can keep up ....the league have sold OUR highlights to another company and are dictating when we must give them away and we are not allowed to use them until others have . Most of us , because we rea...

Re: You Tube/web site revenue
Interesting to see that there are zero links up on the VNL website for video highlights of any of yesterday's games... in any of the three divisions. Don't give them the hits, let's all wait till Monday Is it just me that doesn't give a fuck about hits? I just want to see the highlights asap. Don't...

Didn't that also say at the fans forum that we had a surprisingly high percentage of concessions on a matchday? Something like 40%? I assume the "proof of concession rate entitlement may be requested" has always been in operation?

Re: Raj Singh's side of the story
Still doesn't answer the football share question. If the FA say they needed the football share are we to believe that the club didn't ask for it? Also, why didn't Raj go to the papers at that time to state his side of the story. Also, if he was really bothered about clearing his name, he would have...

Re: Martin Gray
Can he build a squad on a shoestring? I've only ever seen him churn through signings 'til he finds one that fits and overspend on the budget. To be fair, the cut was 80k, now it's 55k because of the boost the budget. It's not ideal for him as it stands, but neither is it a shoestring either. And in...

Re: Raj Singh withdraws investment interest
So it was the fans' fault that Richard Cook resigned and now its the fans' fault that Raj Singh has withdrawn his investment. I'm not sure who put out these club statements but they are getting a bit predictable now.

Re: RS Investment Poll
I make absolutely no apologies that I am set on the club living within its means and the destiny of the club being in the hands of the fans. I aspire for us to achieve the highest possible position we can within that remit. I think that is beyond just existing. If to get external investment it mean...

You can't ignore 125 years of history. If you expect us to take the same approach as a team like Gainsborough or Curzon Ashton and be content just to exist in the lower leagues, then expect us to eventually have the same gates as they do. Or Chester City, Halifax Town, Woking, Dagenham & Redbridge,...

I've no idea what the format or how they are run as I've never been involved in them. I just hate the idea of the club doing a crap live video that'll hang around like a fart in a locked room for ages... like that Spenny forum video where they spent half the time talking about us. :? Would one of t...

but who is we? The club is fans ultimately and as things stand we only have 1700 of them. Why should we as a supporter base of 1700 expect anything more than Conference National football? In fact we are not even in the top 5 of attendances of NLN why are we entitled to be promoted from this divisio...

I support Darlington because I grew up in Darlington. Really? So why Darlington rather than Darlington RA? Because that is where I was taken when I was younger, but ultimately my continued support is because they are my club. They are the club that links me back to where I grew up. Yes, but I suspe...

they are just two clubs who perform in line with their crowds and their revenues. Darlington FC have no given right to be at a certain level of football. If our current position means fans leave because they don't want to support that level of football that is fine - they are no longer 'supporters'...

Re: RS Investment Poll
I don't see the point in letting someone buy a reasonable shareholding when we know they want more than 50% and we are sure we don't want them to have 50%. We may as well move on now. No, we know the investors want more than 50%. Singh is not the only investor. Also, 9% is not a shareholding that g...

Re: David Hodgson backs Raj Singh's
I particularly like "Then from there, it’s only a small step back into the Football League." Yep a small step and a massive budget which Singh's 40k won't touch as it will be gone by end of this season. I don't mind people being honest but we will either be another Scarborough if Gray's budget drop...

Raj wants control, Gray has said it. For me I don't see the point in going down this route if we are not comfortable handing control over. May as well just move on but appreciate we will all have different views on that, some would let him take control, some would like to take the money and keep hi...

Re: Its here the investment
A very valid and relative point. One which DFCSG will have to defend. Those that have pledged were clear it was not a route to community shares. No it isn't RS has bought shares in a different entity to what the Community Shares were offered. It is a separate transaction entirely. All the communica...

And what exactly can you do with 9% of shares? I guess the other 91% are worthless then? It's bizarre, you keep talking as if you know what his actions will be. You do not. Once he's in, he's in. I don't want him to be in. I don't want him to have 9%, 0.9% or 0.00000009%. And moreover, how do we th...

This is risk free for me, there's no reason not to vote yes. I'll address my vote for control as and when the deal is presented, however what will have a bearing is not just who is investing but how our board looks, whether we are still struggling for volunteers and whether we are finally cutting o...

He could just put £40k in the fund so not strictly true he doesn't have an alternative to buying shares. What fund do you mean? I'm guessing if the takeover is turned down he wants the 40K back. Re: RS Investment Poll
Yarblockos - it's all very well hearing what he has to say, but can he be believed. He has a history of saying one thing doing another. Mr Tibbs raises a good point. Raj puts in 40K and gets 15% shares. We put in 40K and get no shares. I don't trust him. (Singh/not Mr Tibbs) Well, I wouldn't believ...
