Re: anyone give me a lift to the game?

So what's the craic then, did Ryan dare to walk into town? Did he wedge his pocket money up his arse in case he got mugged by the tea time riverside massive? Is olrad still waiting outside Hogans for him? Has Ryan said please or thank you yet? How old is Ryan? Please tell me he's like 27 or somethin...

Just over a year ago I had to hire a transit van. Got a quote from North Road Van Hire, then rang Europcar on the corner of chestnut st and john st. Said I'd had a quote from North Road van hire and they undercut North Rd Van Hire by a fair amount. Good luck. The sheer mention of North Road Van Hir...

Wrong Pete, replays in the qualifying rounds are in the midweek immediately following the original game. Only in the "proper" rounds is there a 10 day or so break.

Is it possible for you to contribute to a thread without making an arse of yourself?

Collett was in goal that day in sausage finger reign, think he was behind caldwell and brightwell, remember seeing brumwell cry during that game which will always remain in my memory for the alcock chant. As an aside used to like scunny though was initially not allowed in that game after reacting t...

Didnt Gary Twynham and Steve O'Shaughnessy (spelt terribley wrong) come from Man Utds youth set up ? Didn't George Switzer also come through those ranks? Preece was good shot stopper but terrible at corners/crosses. I remember sometimes having to look away when he came out for them due to the uncertainty! Collett was top notch, Stockdale, Prudhoe, Paul Newell As far as one-one-ones went Preece was the business but like Flapper Newell and Dracula, di...

Re: Who was our best goalkeeer?

Collett for me, the Banks-esque save against the Poolies was unbelievable. Also a mention for Stockdale, especially his performance at Morecambe in the re-arranged match on a quagmire (after the first game had been abandoned). David Knight first time round was quality too, for a midget. Before he ca...

Thought Quigg fought well last night when he finally got going but I'm more excited about Anthony Joshua. I don't think he'll struggle to out-achieve Harrison and seems a great kid, just hope he doesn't promise much and deliver nothing a la Price.

I remember Neil's first game at Feethams, when nobody really knew much about him. As he came on as a sub, word reached us that we had to keep an eye on him as he was "skilful and quick" - which he was. Also remember him being cynically hacked into an advertising board at Boothferry Park. Heaney was...
