Re: Massive credit to Watson and the board

It's not completely out of the realm of possibility: with us being part time, it may work with him spending half his time with us and half with Sunderland's youth team, especially with him being so young. It’s probably unlikely, but there are real benefits in him playing for us, because he can cont...

Re: Darlington V Southport

Brilliant performance today, we made an in form side look very ordinary. Never heard the MOTM or crowd announced as per usual. But in my humble opinion I thought Tom Platt was immense and deserved MOTM, although Cedric Main was terrific as well. Crowd looked around 1800, hopefully we'll get over 20...

Re: Darlington V Southport

Yes results went against us today, however the Blyth one went for us and they have got to play 2nd and 3rd yet, they need to win at least one to go above us, so the results could have been a lot worse. Blyth are in the worst situation as far as I am concerned. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Act...

Re: Darlington V Southport

Just Sukar and Ngandu out injured according to the preview. SW seemed to indicate a few not fully match fit (think we can guess who) and also emphasized players need to train well to be considered, maybe implying that some currently aren't. Darlo 2-0 Southport. Nagandu has recovered and is availabl...

Re: Darlington V Southport

It's meant to be around 17degrees at game time on Saturday. The strong winds will be from the South, so across the pitch rather than from one end to the other. So hopefully it won't spoil the game. 50mph cross winds will certainly make it difficult. Better make sure I have my wig securely fastened ...

Player of the season: Cedric Main. I know he's not been here long but he is everything we were missing and he's been crucial in this (fingers crossed) great escape. Best young player of the season (u23): Matty Young Best signing: Cedric Main Most improved: Toby Lees Mr consistent: Will Hatfield Mos...

He is apparently fit and has been for the last 2 or 3 games, but not being picked.

Maybe not impressing the manager with his effort in training, as Curry and Nelson are both being picked ahead of him in the squad.
Not to mention signing Rutledge on loan.

Re: Easter Monday at Warrington Town

Oh boy we needed that. Great response from the players after the disappointment of Friday. Unbelievably we have won 8 and lost 14 away games this season. Only 1 more left, can never remember us going all season without drawing a match away from home. Anyone know if it has ever happened before ? On a...

Funny how when we start loosing games again all the moaners come out the woodwork again Sadly it is because some people are happier when we lose, because it suits their negative personalities. They perversely enjoy a good whinge, and are denied that pleasure when we are doing well. No. They aren't ...

Re: Darlington V Chorley

My gut reaction at the time was that the ball had crossed the line. That is confirmed by the photo on Twitter or X as it is now called. It would have been difficult enough to get something from the game today, but the ineptitude of the linesman made it even more difficult. Having said that, Salkeld ...

Really good looking weather today, so hopefully a good crowd of 1500. I'd be delighted with a draw today. Weather forecast is for some potentially heavy showers Pete. Having said that I think we could get around 1800 if the weather isn’t too bad. Would expect Chorley might bring a few supporters gi...

One thing that worries me a bit is that our 2 most winnable games are Southport and Farsley at home, both teams we never seen to beat at BM.

Re: The Bottom Ten, Tuesday Mar 26th 2024

One thing that looks possible this season is that the magic 50 points target may not guarantee safety. I think we need a minimum of 2 more wins or 52 points to have a good chance of staying up. Another complication for us is that the 2 teams just above us, Farsley and Peterborough Sports, still have...

As I said earlier in this thread I think Tommy won’t be seen again in a Darlo shirt, so hopefully your stress will be abated. Sometimes in a player’s career you just get the feeling that it would be better for all concerned if they moved on, and I think that is now the case. There are some supporter...

Southport should more or less guarantee their safety by beating Bishop Stortford on Tuesday night. Hopefully, they will have enough left in the tank to take something from Farsley on Good Friday.

Job most definitely not done. It is still very much in Rushall’s hands, if they beat us they are 2 points behind us with a game in hand, and that game is against Bishop Stortford. All we have to do is win 2 of our last 6 matches (3 if you want to be sure), regardless of whether Rushall is one of th...

Re: Rushall v Darlington

Poor performance today and we didn’t deserve anything from the game. Everyone was a bit below par and we certainly missed Matty Young’s presence in goal. I wouldn’t put all the responsibility on TT, because others were also to blame, but it will be a boost to have Young back next week. I think Taylo...

I would think that Lindley will look for a club in the Midlands. Ri...
