Re: 50 points
Lighten up guys the team are going for all 21 points and I would overjoyed if they got most of them. There have been jitters amongst play off contenders in the past, so maybe a massive finale of the 42 games in store for us at Stockport! Going onwards from the sublime, bring on York and Salford.

Re: Darlington v North Ferriby
Wise to rest our 3 most productive players and give the others a chance. Darlo could have humiliated the opposition, causing some physical retribution and bad relations between clubs. North Ferriby are having a dire time and didnt need their noses rubbed into it. More goal difference would have been...

Re: What went...right?
I've just been watching this morning's re-run of Match of the Day and was listening to Roy Hudson's post match interview, where he was putting down the turn about of fortune to games against top of the table teams where they lost but competed and felt they had chances to get something. He reckoned ...

I can wait until early Monday mornings, as I wouldn't want to be party to the exploitation of the vounteers that provide such a great service. Some clubs are publishing on Sundays, but that might be unofficially being broadcast by individual fans.

Re: National League System - Re-Structure from 18/19
So, they’re adding a third southern division? How’s that going to help the north south feeds into the national leagues??? A lot of Midlands teams will no longer be in the North section, because they will be deemed Central. Most Northern League teams may be happier with games on the East side of the...

Re: Coming soon - Boost the budget
I did mine as a Standing Order, rather than a DD. So it can only be cancelled by me & does not require renewal. Guaranteed to be first in. I think mine is an annual standing order, but I better check. Apart from bringing in younger players TW probably gets more loyalty from them than MG, bec...

Re: Our run in .....
Dreaming...... 2 points off Spenny now, but OK games in hand are against Darlo. Having said that if Darlo keep winning (including against Spenny) there me be a glimmer of hope for reaching the play-offs. Kiddy, Blyth & Spenny may possibly hit blips and jitters. Would be a hell of a Darlo away turnou...

Re: York City
It’s a tricky situation and I suppose very few people will be able to second guess Mcgill’s motives, however based on our experiences and the experiences of other teams too - fans Trusts seem to be a good thing, yet Mcgill seems to want to have it all. Mcgill seems unpopular to some because he’s sp...

Re: Josh Heaton Fulham show interest
Darlo wouldn't want to start the next campaign with Heaton & Wheatley and then lose them at some unknown point mid season. It would be better to have advance warning of any departures, to both recruit and maintain a balanced squad. I hope that DFC will obtain lucrative sell-on clauses, as our owners...

Re: Next steps for Blackwell Meadows
We could salvage some seats from the Reynolds Folly when it does get bull-dozed and put them in storage, but preferably we could get the seats we already own back from HP and fill some gaps. I suppose any expenditure on terracing will be stymied by years of political & commercial indecision about th...

Re: Tamworth v Darlington Match Thread
I thought a draw was a fair result in a typical mid table tussle. Both sides had chances, both sides could have won it, neither did. Mills took some stick but looked unfit. He clearly has some ability but fitness is holding him back. The problem was he left us wide open down one flank as he couldn'...

Re: Tamworth v Darlington Match Thread
I've been looking at the table, after tonight we've now let in less goals than York! I too have checked the league table, I see we are 10 points behind York. Does anyone know how many points we were behind York when MG left us? (Sorry for the obsession) I think it was 2 points. Tommy has a better D...

Re: Our run in .....
In the words of TW we will try to get all 27 points. I hope that the team is concentrating on Tamworth away, rather than any "6 points next week" complacency. If Spenny cant rearrange any weather stopped games with Bishops, I hope Darlo will be sporting and allow them to play at BM. There are some t...

Re: Northern Premier League Announcements
So I am hearing that at a meeting yesterday clubs were told FA putting a new rule that if you refuse promotion you will be automatically relegated by the FA moving forwards. I assume this applies to Step 5 and the Northern League. I do wonder if that will start to reduce the inflated salaries in th...

Re: Joe Wheatley
It makes some sense to keep some players off the sticky pitch of Saturday and have them on top form for the Artificial pitch on Tuesday. TW knew Tamworth would be rested for the next game, so good tactics to give a few players a rest before we try to beat Tamworth on their surface. Having said that ...

Looks like on Twitter that Fans Radio is encouraging folks to listen rather than attend. Need to figure this out with the club for home games. DFR is mainly for exiles, or those who cant attend. I am sure the vast majority of listeners would rather attend than be listening from afar. Some reasonabl...

Re: Darlington v Curzon Ashton
DFR mentioned Turnbull being a bit pedestrian. Hope he is OK and on full gas for the Tamworth game. Thoughts of the next 6 points being in the bag should be dispelled. Tamworth should be the only game to focus on right now. We maybe had some complacency and careless passing in the first half against...

Re: Darlington v Curzon Ashton
That was a fantastic delivery from Gillies for the winner. It looked one of those whipped-in free-kicks into danger zone that are very difficult to defend against. I thought Gillies did very well in general when he came on, he had a lot of energy about him. They were no mugs... one of the better si...

Re: 50 points
Worcester went down with 34 points last season. Darlo have 39 points in the bag and a better goal average than most. With 10 games to go we are effectively 6 points above the drop zone. With us being joint second in 5 game form terms. Injuries apart, it shouldn't be too much of danger of falling int...

Gray did well for us in previous seasons, but this season he lost the plot, off-field and playing long ball, with no Mark Beck or equivalent up front. Darlo players took some time to get out of Gray's tactical rut. Tommy has gradually brought in quicker and smarter players that complement our best m...

With Gray rapidly using up his budget signing players from elsewhere we may be free from further York City poaching. Maybe we will be talking to scouts that attend these V9 events.

Many kids have been signed and departed without a first team game. Coppinger was a class above others on my viewing of a NUFC v Darlo kids game at Maiden Castle. tore the Mags apart. Not a suprise that the Mags paid good money for him, with Paul Robinson.
