Re: Rugby League
Full fixture list to be published on 26th Feb, (1 month exactly before we kick off). Magic looking to be 4th and 5th of September but won't be confirmed until clubs give feedback and full program released. . This is a very good site for general news. Not heard of any pre season games as yet. . https...

Re: Rugby League
What do you mean by loop fixtures? Since they dropped the 8's they have split the league in 2 and the bottom 6 played 5 more games that the RFL called "Loop" games while the top 6 played the play off's. In these games each side played a third game against the others in the bottom 6. 6-9 played 3 ho...

Re: Rugby League
It's good to see that the first fixtures of the SL have been released & that playing the Magic Weekend at St. James Park is still being scheduled to be played later on in the season than the previously arranged May date. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-league/56027738 But a shame they are still i...

Re: Rugby League
I asked for a zoom call 2.5mths ago & nothing has happened, perhaps Ed forgot??? Pete, why on earth do you insist on feeding the trolls? Someone joins Uncovered with an obviously trouble making name and immediately posts the same comment on 2 posts and you straight away eat the bait. . You could at...

Re: F A TROPHY ~ WEALDSTONE MATCH?
Struth, going back to the late 60's we had a string of clubs sack managers either before or after we beat them. I wonder if since that time any club has had as many similar instances as we have.

Re: Rugby League
Are teams playing pre-season games this season & if so when are they due to start as I can't find out any info? At the moment I have had no word of any pre season games. If there are going to be any I would expect to hear in the next week or so. I will let you know when I hear. You could always joi...

Re: League restarts 6 February
Where have the NL stated that the league will restart on 6th February? The offer is still for loans to clubs at NLN and NLS, they still have to vote on it. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55818377 The club put out a post about it this morning. https://darlingtonfc.co.uk/news/league-to-restart-...

This would be a funny joke in some satirical sketch, but as it is playing with peoples lives it beggars belief.

Re: F A TROPHY ~ WEALDSTONE MATCH?
I have a little chuckle when I think about the National league actually doing something constructive and I I would love to get a peek inside their office. I imagine it to look similar to the inside of a 70s/80s secondary school janitors room. Mops and buckets all over, a couple of crusty coats hung...

Re: David Johnson : We are in a sad position
It’s a difficult situation that’s for sure. I suppose like any other LTD business we can borrow at 2% which are extremely good rates, don’t have to make repayments for 12 months and we have ten years to pay it off, which is similar to CBILS and BBL offered to business in general. But the problem is...

Re: Season at risk of finishing early
I would think what by August all the seriously at risk people will have had the vaccine along with a couple of levels lower so the most hardy will probably be the only ones left to vaccinate. I would hope that by that point we are at least back to some sort of contact with others will be allowed so ...

Re: Season at risk of finishing early
The lack of a proper testing regime (which is a newsflash to me as I'd always assumed there was one) is reason alone to can the season/never have started the season in the first place. My six-year-old daughter and the rest of her class bubble are missing out on the education they deserve, while a s...

Re: Season at risk of finishing early
There are three times in the past where we have effectively said we can not afford to continue playing. You don't just get a free pass of "that's fine, come back when you are ready". If the decision is not 3, as is our preference we can by all means furlough and shut down but we will be a) fined fo...

Re: Season at risk of finishing early
It’s absolutely shocking from the DCMS & the National League. Either party may not have specifically said that the funding would not be in the form of loans distributed to clubs, but it is not reasonable to have ever expected this to occur. If we were to continue to be funded at the same level as O...

Re: Rugby League
Kingston Park would not be bog enough for the Magic Weekend, even if crowds are allowed to return as normal. SL fans would not be keen on having to get a bus or metro out to the suburbs. The whole idea of the Magic Weekend is to hold it in a city centre, where fans can meet & socialise, I have been...

Re: Rugby League
Getting rid of "loop" games brings it down to 22 games from 27 for the bottom half and drop the play off's to top 3 only. 2 play 3 and winner play the Champions. it really is not rocket science. The only reason to move magic is if we still can't have fans in so try an either or date. If no fans allo...

Re: Blackwell Meadows Signage
Finally the Rugby club are adding our crest to the sign that's by the main road, sounds like the new board are keen for us to stay. Pure speculation but wonder if the Arena contract has anything to do with the seemingly softening of attitude. Could well be a combination of these things. Firstly a m...

Re: Season at risk of finishing early
[Spenn 66 Its a bit like agreeing to buy a house, when you only have a job for 3 months and no employment agreed beyond that period. You might go ahead on the basis that you could get another job, or that something might turn up. The key here is hope, something footie fans need lots of at the best ...

Nice I quite like a Shiraz or a Malbec. By the way not buying your transparent attempt at friendliness. Re: Home Kit Vote
I've been busy selling my loft contents in eBay whilst the debate has filled five pages. I think it's quite something that the fans get to vote for the shirt design and I feel an open vote may have been abused. Citeh and Palace looked quite fetching in a sash style shirt and I'm not sure the histor...

Re: Home Kit Vote
I don't give a dam which shirt is worn, as long as those wearing the shirt on the field give it 110,% ,it's the players that i go to watch playing, not the bloody shirt. All this hassle because some don't like a choice of a shirt, some people need to get a life. Very much this. I am not at all keen...

Re: Home Kit Vote
My point is an issue like this, which is about the identity of the club, should be available to all fans. Not just the privileged few. 25 quid a year to join and can be done by monthly direct debit for about 2 quid a month. Hardly a massive hurdle stopping people from having the ability to vote. 18...
