Re: Fans' Behaviour
The idiots were making a scene at full time in front of the coaches. Plenty of people were recording it. I hope they pass this to the police and clubs. What I don't understand is the prats themselves. I don't care how drunk you might be. Or how much you want to swing your bollocks around. Everyone m...

Re: Darlo v BPA Match Thread
The seating, terracing, catering and bar facilities could do with some not too costly improvements close season, as this season's "match day experience" at BM is so poor compared to HP. This is really starting to bug me... How is the larger capacity terracing a poorer experience than at Bish? The s...

Re: Darlo v BPA Match Thread
Well that was shocking. I was actually laughing at times it was that bad. The last minute summed up the whole game. Good three points. But we'll get smashed on Saturday with that performance. Positives. Thommo was a million times better than Saturday Falkingham is doing a blooming good job right now...

Re: Worst ever Darlo player
Worst ever player would be someone from the Northern League season who never really made a massive impact and/or wanted to be "home for tea" then moved to other 9th division clubs and hasn't played any higher. You're probably right, but it's all relative. Frankly a professional who didn't cut the m...

Re: Worst ever Darlo player
Right. Started going regularly in 1993, anything before then can't be as rubbish as the below: So I can think of one truly woeful keeper; Keith Finch. In defence we've had; Ville Vaisannen (cue Footifan to leap to his defence ;) ), Ricki Bains, Franz Resch (who played a fair bit I seem to recall) an...

Re: Gainsborough Trinity V Darlington FC Match Thread
Play offs are a step too far. We'd be smashed by anyone in them anyway based on current performances. Finishing in top 7 and setting ourselves up for an assault at the top next season is something to be happy with. There is a major strengthening Jon required in the summer. But we're not too far off...

Re: Gainsborough Trinity V Darlington FC Match Thread
Can see why Falkingham got most people's mom. He's playing very well at the moment. Wearmouth looked useful. I feel for cartman. Thommo had A stinker. Bartlett had a mare. We know. Ed was doing alright but has he really had anything to do so far? Give Bartlett a chance. He'll come good. And now for ...

Re: The home of DFC
Still think we could have salvaged the temporary seating from HP and stuck it up at the far end as per HP. Anything is better than nothing and it would help with the occasional visitors who want a seat. Trouble is, it costs money to move them and set them up. Ideally, we would have them at BM, even...

Re: The home of DFC
There is twice as much terracing at Blackwell under the Tin Shed than there is at Bish. There are 50 more seats, and at least another 200 to come as the club prepares for the conference. Once in the conference, there will be another 1000 terraced spaces (though this will probably be once we achieve ...

We were shocking. They were far far worse. 3points all that matters. Any other team and we'd have been beaten.
Falkingham was exceptional. Best game by a mile.

Re: Harrogate Town
The pitch isn't flat. But that's nothing to do with the rugby being played on it. It's due to the lay of the land. I actually think it's held together pretty well. It's. It not cutting up. It's just not flat. And it's affecting play. Once the work is done it will solve this. We were told by the rugb...

Re: 'Selling out'
The sun sponsorship is inconsequential in this. For example, I'm vehemently against gambling websites on shirts. But if they were going to give us vast quantities of cash I'd probably just not buy the shirts. Whilst. Living my disdain on here. There's a big whiff of agent interfering here. A "Hi, I'...

We were fleeced by a loophole for our first trip to Wembley, and it cost us the association with the most influential employer the town has seen for three generations. I suppose integrity is the key word. I couldn't imagine virgin being too pleased with it. But I can see some local companies seeing ...

'Selling out'
Seen a few comments on twitter tonight about Sutton selling out for a fast buck. Advertising boards, a one off sponsorship deal. Etc. On Saturday Lincoln were sponsored by vanarama and not their usual sponsors too. They're not the first clubs to do it. I can think back as far as Stevenage v Newcastl...

Re: Saturday weather
It's so very very grim out there. But I can't see why it'll be called off. It's cold. It. It freezing. And it's raining but. It heavy enough to cause puddles on grass. The only risk is the potch is too soft. But that should t be a reason to postpone. Although, I'm a pansy, so being stood out in the ...

Re: Club accounts
I think these figures will hit home how important it was to return to Darlington, to those who were happy to stay at Bish. As said, a loss was expected. Maybe a bit more than we were anticipating. But Now we can grow off the pitch and generate more from sponsorship. It's vital that the club now runs...

Re: Conference North Play Off Final at MK Dons?
MK is probably the closest ground to the divide if you consider the fact Brackley is in the north...apparently. I don't think it should happen though. I like the fact the highest placed team gets home advantage. Although, we've got some well supported clubs at this level now which would easily sell ...

Re: Pick the shirts.
So option 1 (hoops) and option 2 (maroon) win. I didn't vote for the either. But I'm glad that the hoops won, even if it's not a great design. As above. We need to be cementing an identity. And something we can build a brand with. We've also had two utterly fantastic shirts for the past two seasons....

Re: The home of DFC
With the proposed return to our rightful name, could it not be that the club is waiting for the start of next season to erect a sign, rather than to fork out twice. That's assuming everything is above board. We definitely need a more visible presence though. Both clubs could benefit from some signag...

In my opinion, Our defence hasn't been the same since Alan White moved on. Not necessarily his presence on the pitch, but his involvement behind the scenes. The players haven't changed, so there have to other reasons.

I preferred Hardy starting. His energy and pace wore down opposing defences. And whilst he didn't always score, the damage appeared to be done. Cartman would then come on. And with his nouse and ability woUld find the gaps between the Then tired legs. Not great for Nathan, but it was working.

Less than one third of all the historical shirts on that link are hoops. I know we've predominantly had hoops since but that's because people started saying it was out tradition.. which is now only true because we made it the tradition! Either of the Diagonal ones for me! Although I know they'll be...

Didn't Boro call a game off years ago because the access road was too icy? Can't remember if it was v Blackburn. I seem to recall it was around the same time they didn't play a match because they all had the sniffles, which in turn cost them their place in the top division. I blame myself if the gam...

Re: Pick the shirts.
4 is the Bradford template for this season. It's even worse in claret and amber.
Three looks like a cheap mans Newcastle top. The ntl one made by adidas. Which actually was really good.

Avec don't design the backs of the shirt. They use the remaining white material from the season before and just sew it together.

Re: Pick the shirts.
One would win, but don't like there aren't hoops on the top half. Options three and four are to quite the 90's; gash! Option two therefore is the best of a very bad bunch. I've no doubt that the quality of the shirt will be top notch when it's produced, but the designs this year are pathetic. Either...
