Re: The game
but he did create for others. Windass had a chance following a thorpe knock down , Dowson was unlucky to cushion his header to close to their onrushing keeper from a Thorpe headed flick on in the first half and our best opening in the first half involved Thorpe. Didn't he also square the ball for C...

Even so, it's very impressive. Especially considering it was 3 seconds ahead of the Sky coverage.

Nobody should get a 9 (especially 3 people) considering we lost.

Out of curiosity, how does it work? Is it dependant on someone being at the game and texting alerts back?

Re: The game
Thorpe, does a job, and a very handy one at that. He'll be a very important player for us over the course of the season, of that I'm sure of. He certainly won't be the prolific goalscorer we seek, but that in my opinion was never his intention. He'll chip in with about 10 goals if he stays fit.

Re: The game
I wasn't overly impressed with Dowson. Granted he's far from the finished product (hence why he's with us), but the amount of times he got caught offside or muscled off the ball was unbelievable.
I'm sure there's more to come from him, but he's not quite there yet.

Early doors but there's certainly signs of encouragement here. Thorpe looks good. Midfield prepared to battle.

It may sound like a stupid question but...
Why don't they have the facility to hold cash? I remember at Feethams all they used to have on the turnstile was a metal money box which cost less than a tenner...

Re: Not looking good for Chester ....
Because they're fierce rivals of Chester. So you're saying that should the same happen to us, Hartlepool (because they're our 'fierce rivals') would vote against us? Give over man. Somethings are more important than a silly rivalry. Especially considering that if Wrexham voted against them, they'd ...

Re: Not looking good for Chester ....
My friend at work who supports Chester reckons that tomorrow's game at home to Gateshead will go ahead if all the other Conference sides give their permission for Chester to start playing. Although I don't know that Wrexham will be too keen. Permission should be given by the end of today for the ga...

On a seperate note it's great to see that the Northampton players are playing for nothing on Saturday with their wages being distributed across the clubs eight nominated charities.

Re: Congestion Charge
Like BQ says, unless you live in the centre of Bishop (or any town really) you've not really got a hope.
I would have to get a bus into Bishop, and then either a train or bus into Darlington. Certainly more than £5.

Re: Questions and answers from tonight's forum. Part 2.
Was nasty listening to Graham Fordy try to defend the club on that issue - the guy who'd raised the original point clearly wasn't listening and when he'd gotten bored of pretending to he just said "alright, whatever" and sat back down like some kid who'd lost an argument. Then other people started ...

Re: Leroy Lita
I reckon we've more chance of signing him than Franks, though it's probably a slim to none chance in both cases. I don't know about our chances with Franks, but like I say, we've got a cat in hells chance of signing Lua Lua. With more and more Newcastle players jumping ship every day, and Lua Lua t...

Craig Nelthorpe, now there's a blast from the past... I was thinking that about Michael Ingham! That afternoon at Boothferry Park... Good Times... Great day that was! A nuclear missile wouldn't have beaten Ingham that day! I'm sure a number of Hull fans behind the goal would have liked to of beaten...
