Re: Anyone fancy talking football?

Did I read somewhere on this forum that Sammy Russell was training with us? Was it a genuine fact or just a wind up? Don't know about anyone else, but I wouldn't mind having him between the sticks again.

Re: Ex player injuries.

Much as it is tempting to look at our old squad and think of what might have been, surely it is now time to look towards our current squad and weigh up their prospects for the coming season? I am sure that in the coming weeks we will have a few more additions to bolster Colin Todds' team and to give...

Not 100% sure, I heard that the club were not processing payments until after administration, but I'm not sure where I saw/heard that.

I wouldn't have thought so, a safer option would be to wait until another day. However if you happen to be walking your dog there and see someone...... lol

I really hope so, I take blood pressure tablets as it is, I couldn't take much more heart stopping moments off the field! On the field, well that's another matter!!!

Re: Meeting at 2:00

Do you mean Raj Sing and the Staff? I hope so, maybe he can get things running a bit more smoothly. I'm a tad worried though, that even the FA must be noticing the absolute shambles this whole affair is. I am deeply worried about a heavy points deduction coming as this process is taking far too long.

He's in an induced coma. Life threatening but stable I hear. The next 24-48 hours are critical I think.

Re: Brackenbury Clark & Co

Whatever Raj thinks about the administratrs, there's not a lot he can do about it. Working behind the scenes may be his way of saying he is pressurising them into action or he may inform interested parties about certain goings on! No proof here, but I still feel that something fishy has been going on!

Re: O/T Going to the Pub

In Stockton, where I live, the price for a pint of Carling varies but at £2.10 in the Thomas Sheraton, £2.20 in The Royal Oak, £2.60 in Georgia Browns (outside Happy Hour that is) and £2.70 in Goldies it is an expensive time out - I won't go on about the price of Stella! lol

Re: Season 2009/10 Poll

I don't really see us finishing higher than mid-table. I will be content with that, but I do agree in some way with Quakerz - with a bit of luck and if we gell together quickly we have the makings of a decent team and our youth players are pretty good too!

Let's face it - the Gods are against us, we're going to get buggered! We can only hope that the money is held in trust for us when we do eventually come out of administration - whenever that may be!

Let's hope that we're out of administration befoe the Leeds game - wouldn't want to 'lose' the TV revenue etc from that!

Re: tomorrows game vs hamilton

1-2 (Windass)
Crowd: 1,045

But we will put in a better performance and the defence will be more confident for the game against Boro next week. Expect James and Starman (not getting into the spelling thing lol) to be out to prove a point and also Convery to reward Toddy's faith in him.

The Sunderland game is over, it's Newcastle next - then Hamilton (who will be a better guideline to how we are getting on I think) so let's see if any positives have been taken forward from Thursday night.

Maybe it was simply a case of nerves. Playing top opposition in his first home match in front of a decent crowd, who knows. We will see as time goes on, but I guess he will be ok at league 2 level.

Re: Darlo 0 Sunderland 4

I agree, too much negativity - after all we are 3 leagues below Sunderland. The crowd was good and Newcastle should be bigger, much needed revenue is what these games are about really, and maybe we can get a half decent youngster on loan too!

Looking at our squad, all three matches against the 'Big Three' cold well end up being cricket scores! Hope our keepers are on good form.
