Re: Quaker Retail relocates to town centre
My main worry if that were to happen is what happens if we're promoted at the end of this season?! That wouldn't be my main worry. Could even be a possibility with the money bish were given that HP would be adequate for a conference north side. (If they make the grass bank a full length 4 or 5 step...

Re: Hatch on Transfer List....again
Hatch is a fans favorite so it would never be a popular decision to see him go. But I think maybe we have to show a little trust in Gray he's build two promotion winning squads in 3 years, im sure whatever the reason is for his turn around that it does have some basis. Looking at the squad when all ...

Re: Quakers unveil new shirt sponsor
Good to see an old partner renewing their links with DFC all part of regaining the trust of local business and encouraging more local sponsors to come on board. All helps in improving the budget and standing of the club on and off the pitch. Looking forward to seeing our new kits in the flesh, reall...

Re: Quaker Retail relocates to town centre
I think a town centre location suits us in the long run. Maybe we can establish something more long term in the dolphin centre. Its well known in terms of location and gets a good amount of foot fall so should keep the club in the forefront of some people in the towns minds. As for the Blackwell mea...

Re: Adam Mitchell
Tbh i haven't seen enough of D. Mitchell to know how far he can go with us. He showed enough against New Mills in our final league games of last season that i think he has some decent attributes. I imagine ay game time in a darlo shirt would be with the reserves rather than the first team as we're q...

Re: Durham tomorrow. KO 1.30 and 3.30
Ignoring the rusty pre-season errors, I'm really looking of forward to seeing how the Turnbull-Portas combo works. Class players but they seem to play a similar holding game. We would need a decent attacking midfielder to complement these 2 or perhaps Thompson will play some role in the centre. I w...

Next fans forum?
Was wondering if there had been any news that I may have missed regarding when our next fans forum will be? I think we are around due one? They're always great, well organised and very informative events. Wondering too when we might see the Annual Report for 2014? Can't remember when last years was ...

I imagine all senior players will want to be available on Thursday for the Sunderland friendly, we might get our first indications there of the team and formation we'll have at the start of the season.

Re: Any news players/stadium developments!!
Sensible decision making from the board, in our position we can't afford to invest without all the I's being dotted and the T's crossed. It's frustrating for everyone involved, especially the board as this project will have put an awful lot of work at their door. Hopefully it won't be long before al...

What a signing that is, circumstances helped a lot him wanting to go P/T but there will have been a lot of clubs in for him and its a real coup from Gray to get him here. Welcome to the club Mr Turnbull very much looking forward to seeing him play for us.

Re: Bishops in the Money
Could be some good times coming for the Bish faithful. They seem to be putting together a good looking side and now on top of this they have a large donation from a fan. Seems a bit strange to ear mark it for ground improvement though when they have a very good ground for that level. The pitch could...

Re: Any news players/stadium developments!!
Got to say I never really expected to be playing at BM for the start of the new season. The time scale was quite short for a substantial amount of work to be done to get BM up to scratch. I'm sure the directors are busy working away to make sure every aspect of the process is check and double checke...

Re: Jordan Robinson signs for....
Its a shame but it was probably the right time for both parties. Thought he did well at RB earlier in the season and it was quite harsh he lost his place to get Brown as captain back into the team. But since then his opportunities have been limited and with further additions its hard to see where he...

Re: Welcome Kevin Burgess
It wouldn't surprise me too much if we didn't name a sub keeper on the bench a lot of the time next season. Provett will travel with the first team anyway to do warm ups with Jameson. But statistically I don't think Jameson actually misses many games through injury etc. Excuse me if I'm wrong but I ...

Wondering if anyone can update me on any transfer clauses we have remaining on players sold back in the old days and what %/amount that they might be worth. Tough to keep track of them. Re: Gray's first 3 years - Echo article
The longer it is before we move in BM, the more squeezed the playing budget may become. Especially if there is an overrun in build costs beyond the contingency build in to estimates. What non-construction costs could squeeze the playing budget? Payments to Bishop? And wouldn't increased constructio...

Thanks for clearing that up divas. Just thought of another question too haha. Whats the value agreed on our 25 year lease? Is it to be paid per year or has it been paid up front? Is it the actual rugby club who own the land at BM? and there are restrictive covenants in place from the council which stop them mortgaging however much, against the value of the land?

Re: Dave Penney charged with Assault
if we're talking technically here then assault is;
intentionally or recklessly causing the victim to apprehend the application of immediate unlawful force
No need even to touch the other person only to make them reasonably believe they are to going to be subjected to force.

Re: Quakers sign Nowakowski
They have no one of the quality of Portas or Hunter or Armstrong or Cartman. I don't think that's strictly true, looking at Spenny's team; we tried to get Tait back last season and failed. Mason is a good player, Stephenson looked very good every time I've seen him and would be one id definitely be...
