Possibly Spyman, but hoping it's so we can rotate a bit more and that it's an injury caused by fatigue.

Re: FA Cup Q3
If it ever came to it, I’d like to think the Rugby Club would allow concrete step terracing at the open end to get us up to the required 4,000 capacity (in the event we were to be promoted). It would, of course, all have to be at our expense. The Rugby Club don’t want wholesale stadium changes to g...

Re: FA Cup Q3
Lo is right. We can go up but not stay up at BM. We would need to play at a 4k capacity ground by March 31st and couldn't do this at BM as the rugby club will not allow us to develop it further.

Re: Darlington V Southport FA Cup
It could be they do merge regions in the next round. In 19-20 Walsall season we were drawn against Leamington or Chasetown in the 3rd Qr.

Re: FA Cup draw
I take it that the regionalisation is widened in the next 2 qualifying rounds, hence us playing Leamington and Tamworth in recent years in the 3rd and 4th QR.

Re: Shock as Spendy 'Both sides' trouble
He does mention that their players were wrong to celebrate in front of our fans, and then said that it's something that, to the Darlington players' credit, they didn't do. He says he's going to remind the Spenny players that this was unacceptable. I actually find it a very balanced and fair statemen...

Why don't you cross check another source for the League Table on the Internet. A quick check would tell you there's an error on Sky, which happens sometimes. There are plenty of sources out there.

Fathers and sons who played for Darlington
As Ben has signed it got me thinking of other fathers and sons who have played for Darlington.
Didn't Stevie Johnson play, and his son played in a Durham County Cup tie for us?

Read somewhere that he said he'd made a mistake and should have joined us in the first place. On another note, DJ said the budget was used up 2 weeks ago, so wonder if that was a ploy to prevent clubs from asking us for silly
money or whether we've got some money from KDS.

Re: Guiseley V Darlo
Rivers was named as starting then didn't, as possibly he tweaked something in the warm up. That meant starting Mondal on the left wing and Lambert on the right wing, which didn't help as the service was poor. As for the centre half from Bishop, I was hoping he'd make a good impression as we really n...

I also heard those comments from AA and found it surprising and thought I'd maybe over-analysed it, but others have commented too so clearly they did stick out.

Re: Rivers
Very surprised by Scunthorpe beating Sheff Utd yesterday. They've assembled a team on the cheap and apparently played very well. Keith Alexander of Lincoln did the same when they had financial troubles and got them into the play-offs by some miracle, so it can work. Their problem is that they have n...

3 new trialists - Romario Vieira, who is twin brother of ex-Leeds Ronaldo Vieira, a midfielder from Tadcaster. Could be a recommendation from KDS?
Jordan Emery is a midfielder from Bishop
Alfie Hughes is a midfielder from Newcastle U23s.

It's very feasable. The owner is effectively mothballing them and looking for players on the cheap. Sousa is way out of their price range.

AA said he had a couple more offers in, and implied they were further up the pyramid, so wouldn't be surprised if one was Sousa. Beck eventually took our offer when he didn't get fixed up with another club.

Disappointed to see him go. Clearly had potential and I think this season could’ve been a big one for him with a full pre-season behind him. But it sounds like he’s heading to an exciting opportunity and you can’t blame him for that at all. Exciting indeed. York Utd is based in Toronto, quite simpl...

Gramps, interesting point you make about AAs comment being made so as not wanting to drive up the price of anyone they're interested in, especially given that just prior to this he said that we have offers in 'For one or two players'.

I wondered how players are going to be moved on if they are already under contract. Only thought is if someone has put an offer in for them.
