Re: Motherwell game

I thought he played well too, but tired in second half so struggled to track back but first game and won't have been only one tired. Happy with whole team including the accademy lads to be honest.

This is the first time I have been quite excited about the first pre season friendly, really looking forward to seeing the new players even though I know we will lose.

I had the hospitality last year at the Motherwell game with my son and a fair few of there fans were up there too, so may well have been a missed opportunity unless the rugby club don't have people available?

Re: New signings and outgoings

Surely we need to temper our expectations this season. AA has made a good start and I believe will build a team that plays for each other and is fit, but he has had to start from the beginning in building for this season, our budget doesn't allow us to compete with a fair number of "local" non leagu...

Re: New signings and outgoings

Wonder where the Trotman rumour came from? If true we do have cover for that position but hope we get a good fee for him and future sell on clauses. He can only get better with more training time, as it would have been limited at Darlo due to the travelling and mid week games (don't think they train...

I had heard the club do charge the accademy players as well. You would think that their commercial people watch our web site for ideas. They have just announced a family, meet the players day on the 13th July.

Re: York City Prices next season

Think the ground already had an agreement to buy on it, believe York received a large amount of money several years ago to have first call on the ground by a major national builder. As you say can't see McGill leaving before the end of next season if ever, but him and his family were big ycfc suppor...

Re: York City Prices next season

Given players they have recently signed, they are really going for it this year including latest signing from Tranmere, budget must be massive compared to ours. The chairman Jason McGill's company having to drop in to sponser the team this year as they did not get a sponser in time, and he rarely go...

Re: Transfer Rumours

Would expect that Fenwick may be one of the ones AA was talking about. Personally would not have liked him in our team. Given Blyth signings now wondering if they are splashing the cash (that they would not give AA), because of fans disquiet and may be want to finish higher than us.

Re: Season 2019/20 - Key info *Please Sticky*

We should be ok numbers wise for the start of the season as AA has already said he has a few lined up he is talking too, we will just have to wait till he gets back from hols (give the poor lad a chance😉). Certainly not worried, this is a rebuilding season and think it will be an exciting one with t...

Re: Signings

Jamerson kept AA hanging on until he went on holiday then, when by the looks of it on web site he made his mind up last week. Not very nice way to treat your former boss. Hope his confidence does not go again as he is competing with their young keeper for first team slot, ( the young keeper did well...

Re: Signings

Would assume we would want a fee for Trotman before we let him go with sell on clause. Apparently a really nice lad who has caught the eye playing for England C. Think AA has already brought someone in who can cover that position but would be nice to get some money.

Re: Signings

The few games against Darlo he played well, had got his confidence back. As has been mention we have had a couple of good loan keepers so we hopefully won't have a problem filling the position and the young lad in the academy looked good in the few games I went to see last year to develop for the fu...

Re: Dan Maguire signs!!

I think Amar would easily be bullied out of the game in this league, the defences are much more robust, physical and "wise" in the NLN, so not one I would go for (but I am no football manager as said before). I am sure that AA will have targets in mind, and he may well bring the best out of Ainge as...

Re: More signings pls xoxo

York already saying that they have keeper who has agreed to sign, so assume that may be jamerson?, so we have a keeper and centre forward, (who can score goals) to find and we will have a decent team to build on as the year progresses. AA may well bring the best out of the team and develop who we ha...

Re: New Manager Interviews this week

Think I would go for Ben Clark and Ian Watson, they built a great team spirit at Gateshead when they had a lot going against them. Feedback I have seen on the web from the heed players is that they were good at there job, may entice a few of the good young heed players. Plus I understand Ian W has b...

First year they did have dinner suits at Rockcliffe, next year I turned up in dinner suit (i have only ever had one and it was cheaper than a suit), with a mate at the kings head and we were virtually the only ones, others in normal suits / smart casual. Re: Time for Gray to finish the job.....

After the first year he struggled in this league, and when given the chance in the league with a full time team and finances to bring players in could not deliver. Also he has his own academy so a future loss for us? We have a lot to thank Martin for but for me he is not the man to move us on, finan...
