Re: Mark Cooper

I've been told by two different sources that he is very much a front runner for the job. And he gets my vote 100%. He knows the Conference, he knows the grounds, he knows the clubs there and he knows the players in that division. All those will be vital and will help him to hit the ground running. ...

Re: The hole club thing..!!

I'm no lower league budget expert but would i be wrong in thinking that we will probably have a decent budget by conferance standards? Certaily no less than kettering and he lead them to 2nd. I dont know enough about the man to say wether or not he should be our next manager, but his record certain...

Re: The hole club thing..!!

Kettering had a massive budget in the Conference North. You've still got to use it wisely of course, but what is he like on a tight budget? precisely - apart from that and a couple of cup runs he's not had any other success - nearly taking tamworth down twice and a mediocre stint in the conference ...

Re: Curtis Main keep or get shot?

A 17 year old who cannot lead the line single-handedly, be relied upon for 20 goals before Xmas or use his vast experience and knowledge of the game to calm and motivate the side to safety. Allegedly, he also does not like a carvery.

What a disgrace, sack him now.

If Singh wants the crowds to improve, appointing any of the above would guarantee to keep the low.

Please, for god's sake, take your time and get someone in who re-energises the club.

Re: Out of work managers

Neil McDonald? Harshly sacked at Carlisle after a good season in league 1 and he's done well this season as Blackburn caretaker manager when Allardyce was in hospital. Neil McDonald is an excellent suggestion, but I don't think he'd want to leave Blackburn now. The rumours circulating around his Ca...

Slade is the quintessential lower league jobber manager, has been out of work for a few months, won't want much money for himself or for the squad and is certain to be interested. He'll be getting itchy feet...about now. As much as I loved Neil Aspin as a player and admire his work so far, we can't...

Except he hasn't built a good side has he, because they are shyte aren't they. To be fair to Bogie he has achieved a double promotion from the Unibond to the Conference National, however this season hasn't gone as planned. We could do a lot worse, however we could never afford the compensation need...

Darryl Clare does not play for part time wages, regardless if he only trains for two days a week.

Bogie has built a good side, but has had a significant budget, relative to his rivals.

Penney's problem at Oldham is that the fans despise his brand of football and have never taken to him, much the same as many of ours did.

'Too negative', 'too defensive', 'too long ball' etc.

Both Gary Brabin and Mark Cooper have had success on a large budget and are unproven without substantial funds. Brabin walked when he was not given more money, Cooper failed miserably at Peterborough. We need someone who can get the best out of limited resources with a good knowledge and contacts in...

The problem with St. George's Day is that it has been hijacked by idiots which makes it a non event for the larger part of the public. I'd happily celebrate our culture and nation, if that's what we actually did, rather than use it as a day of bashing everyone else and proclaiming our culture and tr...

As with Spyman, I'm not one for a sentimental return, but his goals do not lie.

To be fair to Keltie, arguably his two best spells of form for the club were in its two main hours of need; the relegation battle under Hodgson and the run up to and including the play-offs under Penney. His consistency over a season can be questioned, but he has always performed when it was needed ...
