Re: Darlington V Guiseley
Just got through the highlights. F*** we were lucky to come away from that with a point... we need some options on the bench. We can't have a squad this thin and seriously expect to compete.

Re: Safe Standing
We should be keeping an eye on how the authorities view it with regards to the empty end. This is the only way it is useful for us anyway in terms of box ticking. The reason it's useful to Shrewsbury and the like is that you need to have plans for an all seated arrangement for the Championship or ab...

I just want us to win at home. It's badly needed. I'm not sure if i even care if it's ugly at this point.

Re: Paul Woolston
I think you may be right. The common theme being Martin brought them in, didn't play them and didn't notice their talent even in training... and he runs an academy. Saunders & Glover have both come on notably since Tommy has been in charge. Woolston was never our player of course, but even *...

I think it's great the board are listening, and also I'm glad they've managed a diplomatic solution regarding both of these issues. Working with them rugby club is far preferable to gnashing and wailing, and constant bad blood between the two. I had to say though... the signs themselves... bit phall...

Huge game at the weekend now. If we can sort out the home form, perhaps we can start looking up the table, rather than over our shoulders.

As in they're aware of it, and they're fine with it? Or they now know of it, and they're considering what to do. Just curious really. I would've assumed most university teams are FA affiliated? It's not the same as just the social league stuff most universities do, and the potential for him to get c...

Caton playing Uni football
Is that not a breach of his contract with us? (He posted about it on twitter) I know York sacked Gary Martin for playing Sunday league... I’ve nothing against him, and wish him well, but he shouldn’t be picking up a salary from us while advertising he’s playing for his university. It’s presumably a ...

How’s Curtis Edwards doing? Anyone know? Quite the trio that got away!

Re: Bradford PA V Darlington FC
Collins is a permacrock tbh (cheers Martin...). I'd honestly sooner have Caton on the bench than an unheard of, but i'd assume we're receiving a financial contribution for his loan. It's the home form that's a major issue, but we need to sort out our defensive issues. I'd like to see us bring someon...

Re: Bradford PA V Darlington FC
I'm intrigued how we address it when we're trying to balance the books, even if I agree. I don't see how we can't afford at least 16 recognised players on the books without inflicting financial hardship. Every other club in the league seems to manage it. Sure the odd kid is great if they're good en...

2-2 FT. You'd have been very happy with that before kick off. Good stuff.
Need to sort it out at the back, but have to be happy with a point here.

2-2 would be an outstanding result, but you're entitled to hope for a little more when we rocket into a 2-0 lead...
Just hoping we hold on for the point at this stage (digs about the lack of options on the bench are well founded imo. Needs addressing.)

Re: Democracy under threat.
The original post is the stupidest and laziest argumentation against a vote on the terms of the deal. You name one democracy where democracy has suffered.... because of more democracy. I can think of plenty of situations where democracy has suffered because of an effective right wing coup, which has...

As long as we have a recall option in case of injuries, I guess it’s ok.
I’d like to see some loans coming in, rather than going out. Our bench has been a joke lately.

On the subject of crowds, is it just me or do we seem to get very small away followings? No one ever takes the amount we take to other grounds, and 200-300 paying on the day would be a huge difference if it happened semi regularly. There's enough big clubs in the division capable of bringing those ...

Re: REECE STYCHE TRANSFERRED TO ALFRETON CONFIRMED
Interesting to see the FA Cup referenced, as I thought we had supposedly stopped budgeting for this. Chicken and egg with the crowds. Not playing terribly well, awful home record, perceived poor experience in the ground. Not sure how you grow attendances given what is happening on the field without...

That flat standing area didn't put us off going to FC united in big numbers a couple of seasons back. If you're keen nothing stops you. Been on open ends in terrible weather over the years. I think we've done well to self fund what we've got. And welcome back Quakerz even if you've not really gone ...

No. We’re a little unbalanced, although OJ were say Reece is our best striker, I’m relaxed with Ainge and Saunders. We need to invest the money in midfield.

I generally believe in rehabilitation where possible, but it's a bit difficult when they're a public figure. I wouldn't want him near my football club, that's for sure.
That said, Lee Hughes came back, and what he did was far, far worse. So i wouldn't be that surprised.
