Re: Snowscape (Andy) in hospital

Just to let everyone know that my leg is fine, stitches coming out on Monday. Talk about Big Brother - someone suggests locking down both mine & AP's threads about Grimsby to Lincoln, and guess what, it's only mine that is locked, all because AP has the gall to ask me a question , to which I refuse...

Re: www.blundelltosincil.co.uk

Having done my distance, stamina and leg muscle training, I am just doing short rides in high gear, to keep in shape for Monday. Not a particularly great day today, windy and wet, but a taste of what's to come on Monday. One last fundraising push should get the figure up to £1k, which is 10 shares ...

Re: Worst Cover Versions of Songs

There are too many awful cover versions to mention. The Pixies' attempt at Winterlong is by no means among the worst of them, but I thought I'd bring it up seeing as somebody mentioned it as one of their favourite covers in the other thread. I like the Pixies, but I just find their version a bit bla...

Re: Game creche

I really don't see what all the fuss is about - there is an obvious solution. A recent EU directive on intensive (battery) egg production led means the old battery cages should no longer be used - the hens can now have something slightly less tiny to live in - so lots of these cages are surplus to ...

Re: Sexual Health Screening

My college at uni used to take advantage of this scheme to raise funds for events and so on; it can be very lucrative if you get a lot of people involved (I think my college raised somewhere in the region of £2,500 through this scheme for an event last year). Generally I think it's a good idea, alth...

I had a telephone interview today. Probably didn't help that I somehow managed to hang up on the interviewer by mistake at the start of the interview. She didn't seem too offended though, so I should be ok.

Good luck for Wednesday.

I'm not buying shares until I can get a job sorted for September when I grow up and become a respectable tax-paying adult. I don't want to put £100 in now, then find I'm unemployed and need that £100!

Potentially buying shares in the next week or two, fingers crossed.

Re: How a new stadium should be...

Part of the problem at Hillsborough was that the pitch was fenced, which stopped people escaping the crush. I don't think anybody builds stadiums like that any more in this country (quite common in some other countries though).

Re: Football Manager 2012

One of the old Championship Managers (I think it was 01/02 or 02/03) was notorious for having bizarre things going on in the game. I had Taribo West banned for 6 months for punching a referee and went an entire season with Juventus without losing or drawing a match. I seem to remember there being a...
