Re: Who next?
Graham Fenton has left Blyth Spartans, Maybe it’s him? Maybe AA going to rock up at Blyth again. Back to South Shields probably, then AA to Blyth - the merry go round continues - if AA does get a job presumably we would stop paying him - as he surely cannot pick up a wage and then get another job i...

Available, North East based, experienced in this league and the league below, good connections in the area. Good age. For me ticks all the boxes.

Re: Who next?
Anyone down the training ground, seeing the lads been put through their paces, I assume DR is taking training? I was hoping something would be announced today, and the new guy was lined up, but hopefully tomorrow something will happen. I was hopeful that after the Bishops Stortford performance DJ w...

Re: Who next?
For me Martin Gray is the obvious choice until the end of the season, he's available, he take's no prisoners - dropping out of this league will set us back years, the people that don't want him back need to bite their tongue for now if it means we stay up. There is no obvious other choice. Needs mus...

Re: JG sacked
Sadly Gowling has already caused too much damage for whoever is appointed. I hope I am wrong, but I think we are in too deep with how much we backed him. The accommodation, paid analyst, Asante’s wages, selling Hazel etc. Alun left us with an unbalanced squad. It wasn’t ideal, but with the resource...

Re: Gowling has to go tonight
Agree with many of the comments, Gowling must go now. Get Hatfield and Lawlor in charge for Saturday. We now need to get the best possible candidate until the end of the season and take stock. If we go down then things change completely. It’s been nearly a month and a half since mid season boost the...

Re: Darlington V Bishops Stortford
A win on Saturday and we are right back in the mix. I don't want to think about the alternative. If we do win, we will be bottom of quite a large pack of teams, some of which will be looking over their shoulder as they were not expecting to be part of the relegation mix. A win on Saturday is a must.

Re: Mustoe gone
I don't think many people actually care about the ins-&-out's but it's quite clear that there's been more to this than just a player suffering a short-term injury. Yes, the main thing to it was that he was a 32 year old oddball AA signing and he was just ordinary for us. Nothing more to it than tha...

Re: Jacob Hazel
The fact we have signed an undercooked striker, yes with some kind of ability, and seems like everyone is pinning hopes on him. Isn't it more of a worry that we don't have the personnel to create the chances consistently? Yes, possibly an upgrade on Hazel but no guarantees he will bail us out on hi...

Re: Warrington
Really disappointing to concede so late in a game we should have won. But that's what bad teams do - don't win games they should. Taylor should have done better for the goal - a poor bit of goalkeeping. We're in real danger of getting cut adrift. I'm hopeful we can pick up a decent points total ove...

Re: Jacob Hazel
Personally, I think he needed to go. His form only came when he was partnered with Beck up front, apart from that he was bang average. His link up play was terrible. We move on.....with a striker that's suspended and one that isn't fit.....

Re: Warrington
So all these loan signings, ins and outs and it looks like we will be relying on the core of players that got us into this mess into the first place tonight. Given all of the contacts JG has (allegedly) I was expecting us to push the boat out over the weekend and go again, but alas nothing. I have n...

I'm sure I can remember after a particularly bad display at Feethams, David Hodgson put the entire team on the transfer list! He said something like "if any team wants any of these players give me a ring" :o This needs to be done, they are all a shower Rip it up and start again. I take it no player...

I completely agree with the Board deciding not to allowing beer to be drank on the terraces, unfortunately we have a minority who can't handle their beer. Who would be left to deal with any issues from excessive drink....it would be the stewards on a few quid an hour or the volunteers. We also have ...

Worst defeat in 37 years and nothing from the club...nothing. There was a post match interview with our manager in which he apologised to supporters. What else are we meant to do? If you’re after more communication there’s a fans forum in 48 hours. The worst Darlington result since 1987, that’s som...

Re: Gowling MUST go!
I'm only guessing but I don't think it will cost a lot to get rid of JG - I think he will be on a monthly contract as we are still paying for AA - which is one of the reasons why he was given the job in the first place - it was his opportunity to impress while we pay the remainder of AA's contract. ...

Re: Gowling MUST go!
Pinning our hopes on a striker that’s not played since April is not good. For me the squad and team is fractured they are not playing for each other. There is zero team spirit and without that you can talk all you want about tactics but if there is no fight then you will achieve nothing. We knew the...

Sounds like we started the game very poorly even before the red we conceded, why did we not start off on the front foot. What is wrong with these players?

For me Nelson should be the next out the door, he's never shown any kind of form with us since he has been back. I know its harsh, but we have got to think of the club and survival.

Re: Darlo v Chester
I've just listened to the JG interview and he sounds like a beaten man. Lets face it, it's been an awful start to his reign, he's not been able to turn it around. We desperately need a new striker, and nothing has happened this week which is deeply frustrating. A few weeks ago there was talk of a mi...

Under Tommy Wright's reign we flirted with relegation a little bit but I thought we had the players to get us enough points. Guys, the reality is, we have one foot in the next division already. I cannot see us getting out of this. We do not have goals in our team, midfield and attack. We need to hav...

Re: Current Squad Size
It has the potential to become very messy as Taylor, Lees, Sukar & Nelson have all been offered to other clubs. Surely he has to back himself to improve the players we have. He hasn't even tried. Personally, I think it is too late with some of the players, some of the players will have the hump wit...

Or have we gone with the only appointment we can afford?? Given that we are still paying AA wages - maybe DJ went with the most cost effective option.
