Re: F A TROPHY ~ WEALDSTONE MATCH?
We should be ready to play & if Wealdstone don't fancy it, they can forfeit. OK we will be ring-rusty & if the pitch is fit, I would rather give the lads their chance than just let Wealdstone pick up the prize. They may not think it will be worth the long trip & testing etc. Am sure we could get th...

Re: F A TROPHY ~ WEALDSTONE MATCH?
Unless the whole national league shuts down then I expect the FA trophy will continue to its conclusion. As has been the norm so far this season teams from leagues that have been suspended will continue until they’re knocked out. I suppose if a club wanted to forfeit the game they could but I can’t ...

Re: Home Kit Vote
Or we could just let those with the professional qualifications on running a business get on with it as we mandated them to do at both the DFC and DFCSG AGM’s. There are many intricacies to choosing and working with a supplier, price is probably one of the more straightforward. Having previously bee...

The greatest thing about a democratically run, fan owned football club is everyone has the power to initiate change if so desired.

Re: Home Kit Vote
Difference is Darlington FC is fan-owned, and doesn’t limit its calls for funding to a limited group of supporters. Yes, but Darlington FC doesn't ask it's fans to vote on absolutely everything. Why should fans being asked to donate money get to vote on the kit, but not the walk-on music? Sorry but...

No, it was actually a fairly marginal victory in the end by around 5% difference.norwich darlo wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 9:37 amwasn't last seasons winner put up against a hoops shirt and thrashed out of sight? looks like we might be going down that road again. all four contenders this season are a joke!

Re: Brackley v Darlo
The squad is currently imbalanced with forwards (3 quality number 9’s vying for one spot) and last night with the injuries and availability it meant we were missing 5 players (6 if you count minter’s return). That means Alun didn’t have many too options. I really like Sousa, he’s done very well so f...

Mentioned on here not so long back but Dougie McCarrison kicking an opponent square up the arse is a personal highlight
Martin Gray used to be a master of the dark arts on the pitch too, always kicking or digging someone when the ref wasn’t looking

Re: Away to Bristol rovers
Just listening to the interviews. Ray Simpson described the first penalty as harsh. I think it was up there with one of the most clear cut penalties I've ever seen. Did I miss something? That was a penalty all day long, only Atkinson will know why he had to make that stupid challenge. His head had ...

On another note that’s three goals on the bounce for Sousa, I really liked Donawa but I believe Sousa is an upgrade. Fantastic bit of business by AA. So far so good with Sousa. Nifty wingers tend to run out of steam after a run of games, or they get a bit cold and can't play any more (like Gillies)...

The larger a picture is the less clear it’s going to be unless you also increase the resolution by the same amount - hence the advances in HD/4K for bigger screen sizes. If you’re going to watch it on a postage stamp in the middle of a small screen anyway then even in low res it’ll still look like a...

The problem here is generally caused by trying to login to QTV with YOURCLUB email/pass. This is exacerbated if you choose to save the password on your device as both QTV and YOURCLUB sit on the same .Darlingtonfc.co.uk domain You need to clear the password and ensure you re-enter the password that ...

Great that exiles could join in tonight - one of the big considerations when creating YOURCLUB was how we engage better with those owners who live many miles away. The voting for directors on the platform worked very well and much less admin for all involved too. Ultimately Covid meant that the whol...

Yeah R3 is where it’s really going to hurt the smaller clubs who draw the big clubs financially compared to previous seasons, the money just won’t be there this time around. Even if it is available on PPV, which seems unlikely the further we go due to what’s happening with PL games now being broadca...

I applaud the initiative and sentiment of setting the gofundme up but we have a DFCSG platform that won’t take any cut of the funds raised that would have been a bit more strategic

There’ll be so many players available to clubs on these sorts of deals this season I’d imagine. Can’t see many clubs offering initial permanent deals to currently unattached players.
