Re: Craig Morley

I’ve been in hospitality a number of times this season and the food and service has vastly improved. TBH I wasn’t that Keen on Craig at first as I’d heard a few comments about him “book & cover” but I’ve always found him very helpful and he’s certainly passionate about DFC which is what you want in ...

Re: Craig Morely

Just looked at twitter and there’s lots of hype about whether he was sacked or made redundant who knew on the DFCSG board etc. Craig to his credit though has been quiet on his twitter account which is the best policy. A statement is needed though to clear the air.

Who will take commercial up now, massive shoes to fill as you can’t make someone redundant and then employ someone new as you leave yourself open to bad practice. I’m sure John Vickerman will know As he’s an HR expert apparently.

Re: Harrogate Match

All I know is talking to Craig he seemed very much in favor of us building our own ground at the SV. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk The council will never ever let us build a 5000 seater stadium next to a 25009 stadium, people who believe that are in cloud cuckoo land. Until we own our ground w...

It sill makes me shudder when I think about the wages Styche and Ainge were allegedly paid by us last season. No one knows what the players are on as it’s sensitive however the playing budget at £330k is very similar to last year under Tommy. Remember Tommy had to sell 3 times the FA Cup windfall o...

Re: Darlington V Gloucester

He spent four years at Guiseley so hopefully we get to keep him for a good while yet, especially as he always seems to be loving his time with us when you hear him interviewed. I believe it’s nearer £330k - not sure if that includes management or Employers NI. If we get to competing for playoffs th...

Re: Interview with Johnston on Official Website

I’m sure its been said before but for a 5000 capacity stadium with club house facilities you are looking at roughly £5m. Unfortunately With the current model just can’t see us ever raising that type of money. Moving back to the Arena it will at least give us the opportunity to benefit from larger co...

I wasn’t at the game so can’t really comment but the DFC board apparently get on very well with Spenny and with Dave Mills previously working there I’d imagine they were fully briefed on how may Darlo fans could potential travel.

Re: Interview with Johnston on Official Website

The DFC board ie DJ will put a proposal to move back to the Arena, the DFCSG board who were largely against moving back previously now I’ve heard mostly back a return but as I’ve mentioned numerous times it’s the members who will vote, personally from what I’ve heard the sensible option is to move b...

Re: Interview with Johnston on Official Website

My understanding is that if the SV goes ahead, land has already been agreed for us to build on, but clearly that would take years for us to get the money to get it built up, so decision would be which site can we negotiate the best financial return over the intervening period. BM has issues if we d...

Re: Interview with Johnston on Official Website

Positive words from DJ but TBH nothing new we don’t seem to be able to move forward with SV and talk of our own 4g pitches and new stand weren’t mentioned. DRFC likely just happy with the stalemate license ends in 15 years. If we want to follow Walsall then we need to be looking to secure outside in...

Re: Simply not good enough

It does feel like a big improvement on last season, but saying that, if we do finish bottom half then it probably isn't. 100k extra added to the bank from a cup run suggests even if we finish midtable it's a massive step forward. Agree with most comments, it's disappointing currently and it was sli...

Out for a few beers tonight and apparently he let the Bermudan players stay in his house which would have saved the club a fair bit of money. He helped the club also with a loan which he obviously wants back, with a £100k windfall I can’t see the problem in paying him back.

I heard about this on radio 4 yesterday they interviewed the Osset chairman who was livid then the solicitor who sounded like he was out to make a quick fee. Like you mentioned though worrying for grassroots football as it may set an unwelcome precedent. I’m sure DFC will be aware of this case as th...
