Re: Potential new signings

Efl are apparently having meetings/vote to commence the league on August 29 or September 12 with reduced capacity's. It will be interesting to see what the National Leagues take on this will be once the playoffs have concluded.

Any chance of a summer signing soon or just some teasers to keep me going. Missing my football fix.

Personally would not want to see Joe Tait back at the club. Nothing against the lad but don't think he will add much, or be an improvement on what we already have at the club.

Re: Boost the budget

Disappointed?! Think you need to give your head a shake. In the normal world we managed to get around 500 to contribute but there are people losing jobs, frightened about future income, worried about a lot more than a non league football club and still we're pushing towards the target. I'm amazed w...

Omar must be mad to try his luck looking for another club in today's climate. I would have taken the security of another year and pushed on from there.

Re: Boost the budget

It would be great if we could hit 110k before the Netcafe with Alan tomorrow night. What he says or reveals could influence another surge leading up to the deadline. Looking at other clubs and the issues they are facing who would have thought that they would now be taking note of what Darlo is doing...

It would be great to get it over the line tomorrow then see how much we can beat last year's total by before close of play next weekend.

Re: Boost the budget

I thought this year we could achieve 120k even with everything going on because of the season we have had and the feel good factor around the place. I still believe we can achieve this with a late push, however looking at it with 7 days to go 110k is a more realistic figure. So far 423 have contribu...

Re: Potential new signings

Maguire had his own business so it would have taken a big offer to go full time. Might want to concentrate on it again and go part time. I'm sure AA will be monitoring closely.

Great response approaching 80k from only 343 supporters I am sure we can double the number of supporters donating and get 100k+.

Confident we will pass last year's total, wouldn't surprise me if we get close to 120k. Feel good factor about the place and unity with the supporters, praying that the season is up and running before Xmas.

Brilliant uptake on the first day. It will be some achievement if we can get that figure over the 50% mark today. I will be renewing today.

I'm definitely going if the game is on, however after all the hysteria since the National League said to go ahead I fear they will ultimately call it off. This will probably be the last game for a while as they will probably shut the country down in the next week or two. Can't see it recommencing on...

Re: season tickets on sale

Not sure if I am correct here but did the rugby not take out a mortgage to pay for the changing rooms and building improvements which will be paid back through our rent.

No doubt if we pulled out they would be in deep s*** as I don't think they would have the income to maintain the payments.

Lambert is not costing us a penny as Scunthorpe are paying his full wages which has probably enabled us to bring him in without affecting the budget.

The majority, if not all the standing water will have been from the deluge through the night.

Personally glad it was called off gives players an extra week off and the likes of Liddle more time to get full match fitness.
